DRIVERLESS CAR
Introduction
Automation has been acting as the technology that is ever evolving in nature. The
adversity of automation has spreading across the globe rapidly. The only field where the
emergence of the automation was lagging behind is the field of communication. This field of
lagging in the automation has also gained heights in the department of communication. This
report will also discuss about the sensors that are used in the processing of the designing of the
driverless car. This report will also discuss about the motion planning of the driverless car. This
report will further discuss about the anti locks brakes that the car uses for increasing the
efficiency. This report will delve into the controlling techniques of the driverless car. This report
will also discuss about the advantages and the disadvantages of using a driverless car.
Driverless car
Driverless cars are defined as the vehicles that are capable of being driven by it without
taking assistance from any manual services. These cars are driven with autonomy. The level of
autonomy is variable in different models of the vehicle. This report will consist of the
requirements that are needed for the making of the automated cars (Wadhwa and Salkever,
2017). The major evolution is due to the fact that the automation that is installed in the
architecture of the driverless cars acts as both as an advantage as well as the disadvantage for the
users of the driverless car. The global acceptance of this technology has been increasing day by
day and the increase in popularity of this technological master plan has been playing a major role
in emergence of the technology.

Requirements
The major requirement for the processing of the building of the driverless car includes the
sensors, which will allow the vehicle to get the tracking of the obstacles that come in front of the
vehicle. Another important factr that influences the building of the driverless car is the
navigation system of the car (Talley, 2017). The navigation system of the car helps the driverless
vehicle to locate the location of the address or the destination of the car. Motion planning has
been acting as the most important instrument for the building of the driverless car as the motion
planning helps in the processing of the traffic management in the real time by the driver less car.
Actuator also plays a vital role in the processing f the vehicle. The actuator sets the operation
mechanics of the driverless car. This ensures the fact that the vehicle that is using the technology
of actuation the operation mechanics of the car is maintainers by the datacenter that is stored in
the database of the car.
Operation
Sensors
Sensors act as the most important element in the functioning f the driverless car. The
sensor acts as the virtual eye of the car. This fact ensures the fact that the vision that is detected
by the sensor is used for the tracking if the car. The actual functioning of the sensor is that the
sensor senses the distances of the opaque objects that are present in front of the car. The car
moves forward the sensors keep on tracking the local traffic that is present in the busy road
where the car is travelling. The sensor helps the car to take decision is automatically without the
help of manual choices. This aspect ensures the fact that the vehicle gets automated in nature.
The amount of dependency on the manual control is completely dependent on the processing of

the sensors used in the driverless car (Greene, 2016). More the updated version of the sensor,
more the efficient the sensor be. This sensors the fact that the decision that the sensors make are
efficient in nature and the dependability on the sensors are very high and are liable in nature.
This fact ensures the fact that the car in which the sensors are attached are safe and the tracking
of the object is done in a safe mode. The car moves forward, in case the sensor senses some
obstacle it stops. After stopping the sensor checks the availability of free space in both the
direction of the left and the right side. After getting the result of the evaluation, the sensor
compares the space that is free on both sides. This ensured the fact that the free space in the each
direction is compare, more the direction any side is chosen as the obvious choice. The car moves
to the direction where it finds more space. This ensures the fact the car avoids the obstacles that
come in front of the car. The sensor acts as the most important part of the requirement list as it
ensures the direction of the car. The sensors act as the brain of the car and the most decisive
element of the driver less car (Bruun, 2018).
Navigation system
The navigation system of the car acts as the fulcrum for the processing of the car. This
ensures the fact that the car reaches its destination. In a driverless car the destination location of
the car is say initially. This destination location acts as the tracking of the car which ensures the
fact that the fact reaches its destination with correct functioning of the car (Claudel and Ratti,
2015). The navigations system makes the decision making for the sensors easier as the sensor
gets the reference data with which the data that the sensor has collected can be compared and the
evaluation result acts as the decision of the sensor and the processing of the sensor. The
destination that is set induces the fact that the processing of the car has the potential to take
decision regarding the processing of the movement of the car. The processing ensures that the

sensor takes the most efficient way in travelling. This fact ensures the fact that the driver less car
is very efficient and the processing of the car is time efficient. The navigation of the driver less
car also enables the fact that the movement that is taken by the driver less car is directed towards
the destination location of the car. This ensures the fact that every movement that the car takes is
very efficient and related towards the location if the car. This causes the fact that the car is
always driven towards the destination location, keeps the driver less car in track, and does not
allows he car to go put the track. This aspect of the driver car acts as the steering factor f the
driver less car. This aspect also ensures the fact that the decision making of the driver less car is
very efficient and time saving. Time is also one of the major facts that leads to the fact that the
usage of the navigation system is used (Richtel, and Dougherty, 2015). The steering factor also
enhances the fact that the car that is used in the processing of the driver less car ensures that the
direction chosen by the car is oriented towards the direction of the destination of the location.
Motion Planning
Motion planning is also present in the construction of the driver less car. This fact ensures
the terminology of the building of the motion planning. This fact ensures that the car maintains
the needed speed in order to reach the destined location within the set time. The motion planning
also ensures the fact that the driver less car maintains a speed in the time of travelling (Waldrop,
2015). This fact also ensures the fact that the car stays at a stable speed as the car ensures the
speed limit in the highways through which the car will be passing through. Another aspect of the
motion planning is the processing of the maintenance of the driver less car in the aspect of the
driver less car passing through the high traffic areas as in case of the passing through the jams
the driver less car needs to be have a very fluctuating speed as the distance between the driver
less car and the obstacles are very less. This ensures the fact that the car needs to change the

motion of the car very often. This ensures the fact that the accidents in the road decreases as
there is a very efficient way of controlling speed. The driverless car also ensures the fact that
when the amount of traffic sis low and there is ample space the car can draft fast and reach the
destined location on time.
Advantages
The major advantage of the driver less car is that the car can park itself in a very
restricted and small area without getting crashed. This factor ensures that the parking o the car
gets very efficient in the processing of the car. Another advantage of the driver less car is that
the car senses the factor that the distance between the driver less car and any other car while
parking itself and modifies its movement accordingly. Time saving also acts as one of the major
reason for the success of the car. The amount of accident also decreases due to the fact that the
car uses artificial intelligence technology.
Conclusion
From the above discussion it can be concluded that the driverless car is globally accepted
and the acceptance of the car is increasing in a very fast rate. This is because with passing days
the major concern acts as the shortage of time in today’s society. This factor ensures that the
people using the driver less can use the time spent during the travelling to their destination for
the purpose of serving their processing in their job.
