DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP
Introduction
Leadership plays the most significant role in driving an organisation towards success.
The most effective leadership traits determine the structured business functionalities that help
other employees to develop their professional and personal goals while accomplishing the
business goals (Breevaart et al., 2016). I am working as a team leader in a small-sized consulting
firm. In order to make progress in my career goals, I have undergone a self evaluation process in
which I have identified some of the specific areas that need more improvements. In this study, I
would prepare a personal development plan to ensure the progress in some of my behavioral
traits as a leader. I shall draw a complete reflection on these specific traits to increase the self
awareness by thinking deeper about my values and their influences on my career goals. I shall
also identify the critical gap between the current capabilities and the values as well as leadership
aspirations. Furthermore, I shall identify the influences of the national and organisational
cultures based on the future implications that can develop my leadership skills. Obtaining
knowledge from the suggestive theories and models, I shall establish a structured development
plan in this study.

and decision making. These three aspects are the major characteristics that a leader needs to
adopt. In the further study I shall reflect on my values and their influence on my career path.
Values
I have set my goals to become a dynamic leader with a vision of a multinational level. I
am currently working on my skills to improve some of the specific leadership traits that would
help me in leading a dynamic team in a multinational corporation. Having such visions, I have
conducted a self evaluation assessment in which I have identified that I need to make
improvements in three major skills, such as effective strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and
decision making process. In order to lead the dynamic teams in a global or multinational
context, it is essential for a leader to develop these specific attributes at the first place. The
current business scenario is much competitive as well as much challenging (Breevaart et al.,
2016). Each of the leaders strives to develop the most remarkable attributes that would make
them successful. Shaping up my strategic thinking skills would provide me the future insights to
make profit in a competitive market. I shall be able to develop the most strategic and innovative
technicalities and functions within my organisation, which would increase the profit level and
strengthen the competitive position. Building up the strategic thinking would help me in
acquiring the innovative visions that can be beneficial for my developing personal and
professional attributes. Moreover, it would help the associated team members in being
productive while performance that would help them in achieving the organisational goals.
My second value is conflict resolution, which is a significant aspect of each organisation.
While working with a dynamic team, I often have to face the conflicting scenario due to the
diverse perceptions of the people who belong to difference culture and background. Being a

leader, it is my foremost priority to resolve the conflicts and create a cohesive working
atmosphere that would motivate the team members to perform in a better way. This value has the
considerable influence on my future goal since I am looking forward to establish my career in an
international landscape. My third value is decision making, which is the most significant factor
in every organisation. Leaders must have a vision that leads towards developing their personal
and professional goals. In fact, it is my foremost priority to resolve the conflicts and create a
cohesive working atmosphere that would motivate the team members to perform in a better way.
I should always encourage my team mates to develop the better understanding of the job process
and make their movements accordingly. Similarly, making the relevant decisions for driving the
organisation towards a profitable way is the priority in such context. I believe I need to develop
my conscience to develop the greater decision making skills and ensure the profitability of my
organisation. Leading the team members towards the right direction is my focus to achieve the
professional career. A developed and well structured decision would help me in identifying such
right path and accomplishing my goals.
Identification of the Critical Gaps
I am currently positioned as the team leader in a small sized consultancy firm. I have
targeted to develop some of my skills that need improvements to set my career goals in future.
First of all, my self evaluation suggests me that I need to work on the strategic thinking process.
It is notice that I am working in a small sized consultancy firm, I have to deal with a limited
number of people who are coming from the similar background. Therefore, my strategic thinking
skill is also limited and I need to develop the functions as per the predictable situations.
However, when I need to look forward for establishing my career in a multinational level, I have
t be prepared enough to deal with an extensive and competitive market. In such cases, strategic

skill would fulfill the gap and help in structuring my career focus.
The second identified area is the conflict resolution skill. I have identified that I feel
nervous when any of the critical situation emerge during the organisational functions. The
conflicts between the management and employees or among the team members are sometimes
decrease the pace of the performance (Breevaart et al., 2016). The employees often feel
discouraged and cannot perform well. Building this conflict resolution process would help me in
handling such difficult situation and develop the better scenario for the associated employees
(Weller & Toplak, 2016). I believe this skill would help me in dealing with the difficulties in
future as well.
The final skill is decision making skill. I have identified that I have not taken the direct
participation in making decisions due to the lack of proper insights. I always involve my senior
managers to make any relevant decisions. However, after developing this decision making skills
with the help of this personal development schedule, I would be able to undertake the relevant
decisions based on the organisational functions. Going forward, it would help me in directing the
dynamic team towards the right directions.
Influence of the national and organisational structure
Developing leadership skills provides the visionary attributes to the skilled leaders to
ensure the strategic movement in an organisation. The organisational structure is developed by
the association of the hierarchy that leads the team and makes decisions for the organisation
(Breevaart et al., 2016). The managers and thee senior leaders who are at the top of management
level take the strategic directions and business decisions. While leading across the national and

international boundaries, it has been observed that people from diverse cultural and lingual
background take part to perform organisational functionalities. People from diverse culture
provide the fruitful insights regarding the diverse technicalities of managing the job
responsibilities (Bottomley, Burgess & Fox, 2014). It would provide me a greater opportunity to
explore the innovative organisational procedures that can create profit. Moreover, I can build my
efficiency level at the global scenario to become a leader in a broader context. I shall be able to
develop the most strategic and innovative technicalities and functions within my organisation,
which would increase the profit level and strengthen the competitive position. The dynamic
culture of the organisation would provide me the opportunity to explore such innovative

Application of knowledge from the theories and knowledge
I have set my focus to become a strategic leader in a multinational corporation level. The
leadership instincts that I gathered from the self evaluation process indicate that I need to make
improvements in strategic thinking, decision making, and conflict resolution. I aspire to become
a Transformational leader. A transformational leader observes the potentiality of the employees
and encourages them by providing the right strategic direction to accomplish the goals
(Effelsberg & Solga, 2015). This leadership style ensures the development of a leader in a most
efficient way. These leaders have the strong attributes towards making the strategic thinking,

characteristics, such as strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and decision making skills. I have
undergone a self evaluation process in which I have identified these specific areas that need more
improvements. In this study, I have prepared a personal development plan to ensure the progress

developing personal and professional attributes. I am looking forward to establish my career in
an international landscape in which the conflicts resolution is a greater part. I want to develop
my skills in developing such conflict resolution skills to resolve the conflicts. Finally, the
development of the decision making skills would provide me the strategic directions to make
profits in my organisation. I have identified the gaps between my current limited knowledge and
the desirable future attributes. Aiming to be a transformational leader, I need to develop these
traits to make myself more capable of leading a dynamic team in a multinational corporation
