Introduction
In this new era of technology, E-learning application is defined as a future and a billion
dollar idea for the business. There are many private businesses which are using the concept of
electronic learning for converting the teaching-learning mechanism more effective and efficient
from the traditional approach. For this specific case the nominated project is “E-Learning
Technologies and Its Application in ABC school”. The school committee is willing to sign a
contract with mind Inventory Company for developing their learning app. The rationale and goal
of the project is to promote the education system, ABC school has planned to contract with Mind
Inventory E-learning app development Company for developing an app for their school.
Project scope
The scope of the project is to invest proper capital to Mind Inventory Company for
developing an electronic learning app for ABC school. With the successful development of the
E-learning app the school authority will be able to increase their education efficiency. In addition
to this the relationship between the teachers and the learners will also become stronger. The
learning app will be accessible by only the teachers, students and members of school committee.
The students from 5th standard to 12th standard can ask for their queries regardless of time and
location.

Project initiation
This is the initiating phase of E-learning app development project. In this phase the E-
Learning module will be developed by analyzing the details project specification and analysis.
The curse competencies defined for the student of the ABC school are also schedules in this
phase by the project manager.
Planning and scheduling
After defining the project details it is defined that the project will take around 70 days
and a total cost of $19,000 for its successful accomplishment.
Execution
At the project execution phase, the completely designed Online E-Learning app prototype
will be executed. After unit testing, integrated testing and acceptance testing the final project for
ABC school will be implemented.

Monitoring and control
After gathering feedback from the internal users a change management plan will be
designed. The interface of the E-Learning app and the other specifications are also analyzed in
this monitoring phase from the project progress report.
Closure and documentation
At the closure and documentation phase with the project approval requirements a final
project document will be developed after getting approval from the sponsors and project
managers. In this phase the project stakeholders will also signed off.
Communication tools
Different communication tools are there such as:
 Discussion forum
 Social intranet software
 Private, group messaging and chatting tools
 Case, issue tracking software
 Internal blogs and videos
For this specific E-learning app development project, ABC school will signing a contract
with Mind Inventory the communication tool that they will be using is private, group messaging
and chatting tools. While developing the project for ABC school Mind Inventory will use open
communication approach.

However, after the final implementation of the E-learning app the tool that is going to be
incorporated is discussion forum. With the help of this communication tool the students from 5th
to 12th standard can ask for their queries anytime to their student. The Learning app will act as a
virtual classroom and through the discussion forum communication tool online discussion will
done among the students and teachers.
Planning and scheduling tools
For planning and scheduling the E-Learning app development project by Mind Inventory,
the tools that will be applied are Gantt chart, PERT chart and Work Breakdown Structure
(WBS). With the help of the WBS tool the entire project can be divided in small parts. The work
burden will be reduced and based on the skills and knowledge of the project team members for
each activity the resources will be allotted. It is the responsibility of the project team members to
complete the tasks within the estimated time and budget.
Monitoring tools
In order to check the progress of the projects the monitoring tools that will be used are
perception or satisfaction survey, sequential visual analysis, scenario testing etc. With the help of
monitoring tools the project progress details can be easily tracked by the project head. Wide
range of procedures and tools can be applied for monitoring any project. However, in most of the
cases the tools are prescribed by professional regulations. For this specific project the focus in
placed on the qualitative measurement. Though there are many other ways used by the project
team members for monitoring any project.

Documentation tools
After detailing the E-Learning app development project for ABC school by Mind
inventory, a project document will be prepared by the project manager and from the project
sponsors approval will be taken before the final project execution. Once the project prototype
will be prepared it will be approved by the project sponsors and project manager. The different
documentation tools used for the project are as follows:
