THEME: “What talent strategies do the best companies use to attract and retain people?”
INTRODUCTION
Talent management is the procedure which is supplied by the company in order to retain
and manage the talented employees in the organization. It is the responsibility of the human
resources management team to manage and handle the employees and their activities which are
are operating in the organization. The aim of the human resources management team to hire and
inspire the employees in order to retain the workers in the company so that they can increase
their efficiency towards the growth and success. As the competition level is increasing in the
market and it is become much vital for the organization to handle their workers towards the
company and motivate them so that they can give their better efforts to gain more positive
outcomes (Torry, 2017) . There are several kinds of obstacles and challenges which are faced by
the company in order to retain the most talented workers in the company. This report is going to
study about the Unilever company and what are the strategies which is adopted by the company
in order to retain the employees in their organization. Unilever is a multinational good
organization which is situated in London England. The company is founded in 1929 on 2nd
September in United Kingdom. This report is going to conduct primary and secondary
investigation in order to identify the best strategies which is followed by the chosen company.

Unilever is the Multinational Consumer products organization which is situated in
London England. This is the company which is largest producer of soap in the globe.Unilever
products are accessible in around 190 Nation ( Bao, Shi and Kalra, 2017). Company is founded
in 2nd September 1929 in United Kingdom. Unilever PLC involved in the manufacture and sale
of consumer’s product and it operates by the following segments like food in restaurant home
care personal care and beauty.

talented towards the company in order to gain more opportunities. Talent management is a very
effective procedure because as it support the company to gain more opportunities and grow
themselves in the Marketplace. Talent management also raise the efficiency and effectiveness of
the organization and motivate the employees to work more effectively in order to gain more
positive outcomes towards the organization.
Best strategies which is used by the company Unilever in order to gain more opportunities
According to “( Natalicchio, Ardito, Savino and Lager, 2016. )”, There are several
kinds of strategies which is used by the Unilever Organization in order to gain more
opportunities and positive outcomes. The organization is using internal and external recruiting in
order to hire most talented candidates towards the company. They also provide training and
development programs in order to increase the skills and knowledge of the candidate so that they
can enhance their skills and get more positive outcomes. As the company TESCO which is
operating on the large scale so they have to adopt several techniques as they adopt training and
development of their employees, Appraisal program and motivation sessions so that they can
enhance the motivation of the employees so that they can work harder and get more
opportunities. Sometimes they also so help some activities like appraisals programs motivation
seminars and sessions in order to motivate the employees towards the company so that they can
feel more valuable because of appreciation program and give their 100% efforts.
Advantages of the talent management in order to hire most talented applicants in the company
According to “( Miterev, Mancini and Turner, 2017)”, There are several advantages of talent
management in order to hire most talented candidates towards the company. The talent
management procedure helps the company to recruit most talented employees so that they can
enhance their customers and growth of the company. Talent management provides much
efficiency to the organization in order to grow and develop themselves in the market and
motivate the employees towards their efficiency and workforce. As the company TESCO is
using talent management strategy like different techniques like job description and advertisement
and many more while the company Unilever is using different recruitment technique in order to

hire talented applicants in the company. So these strategies help the company to get more
positive outcomes and help them to become successful in the marketplace.
Project Management plan
Project management plan is very effective strategy in order to make the project and manage their
function. Project management plant monitor various activities and used by the chosen
organization for this strategy and for their talent management in the organization ( Stjerne and
Svejenova, 2016). In project management plan all activities are oriented to accomplish the goals
and objectives which are decided by the company. There are several activities which has to be
operated by the company in order to achieve their goals. So there are some functions of project
management which are mentioned below:
Cost: it can be described as the amount that organization has to implement for
accomplishing the requirements and their outputs in order to manage their operations and
functions in a very appropriate manner ( Ameyaw and Chan, 2016). In this project the entire
cost is £ 45000 and it is a total cost that is used by the researcher in order to accomplish the goals
and objectives of the research and to gain success in the company.
Scope: in this project it can be defined as the area where the research or project is
operating particularly. In regards of Unilever it can be analyzed or said that the organization
youth scope is to identify and Research at a user level in order to get more positive outcome.
Time: in order to achieve the objectives and goals the researcher take approximately 5
months period so that they can accomplish the investigation and gain more positive.
Communication: to complete the research it is very required for the company to use
effective communication. In context of Unilever it can be said that there are several types of
concept and method which are used by the investigation in order to manage effective
communication.
Quality: to maintain the quality of this project in order to accomplish the goals and
objectives the researcher used very effective quality and reliability by using productive work and
resources.
Resources: the researcher uses several kinds of resources in order to conduct the research
in a very appropriate manner. The resources which are used in this investigation which is books
laptop, pen, pencil, magazines, articles and many more.
Work break down Structure
Work breakdown structure is the procedure that is used by the researcher in order to
separate the entire project in a very small party so that they can perform appropriately. To
