Part 1: Evaluation
1. How would you describe the children’s learning?
Guidance: You may talk about how the children have improved in
terms of their creative, emotional, physical or social skills. You may
also include specific areas of improvement per child or as a group.
The focus of this question is to evaluate how effective the learning
experience was for the children in terms of improving different
areas of their skills.
Children’s learning can be described through an integrated aspect.
The children’s learning in the program have developed in a
creative, emotional, physical, social skills. At the end of the task,
children were able to construct new shapes using blocks and art
activities. In the programs the children were able to demonstrate
creative ideas in art by recognizing solutions to problems.
Emotional skills were depicted by adjusting to the new situation at
the centre. The children felt at ease and they were able to control
their emotions of pleasure, fear and anger. Physical skills was
demonstrated by general activities of the children and muscle
coordination during activities as well as during toilet and dressing.
Social skill development was reflected by means of ability to follow
other children and techniques with conversation.
2. What are the plan’s strengths and areas for improvement?
Guidance: You may talk about how effective the plan was in
achieving your learning objectives.
The plan key strength is the ability explore varied learning
outcomes and capabilities within children. Areas for improvement
includes inability to include areas of interests for children. The
activities did not include varying sets of preferred activities for
different children group.
3. What are your strengths and areas for improvement as an educator
implementing a childcare plan for a group of children in a centre?
Guidance: Reflect on your own teaching styles and assess for
strengths and weaknesses.

As an educator there will always be present opportunities to
undertake activities in a better manner. The strengths and areas
for improvisation in childcare planning for a group of children in a
centre includes ability to identify learning disabilities and
difficulties in children and then attend to them.
Part 2: Gathering Feedback
