Introduction
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is a problem-solving approach in the direction of the
medical practice that incorporates the best-designed evidence from values of patients, studies,
clinical data and other professionals holding expertise in decision making. This paper intends
to discuss the importance of adopting the evidence-based practice in nursing professionals.
Importance of EBP
It is important because it provides the maximum expertise as well as knowledge
regarding the particular disease need to be treated. It also promotes the approach of
examination in healthcare professionals. It also improves the patient’s outcomes by receiving
the best-evidenced based practice in the diagnosing as well as in the treatment.
Importance of EBP in Nursing Professionals
According to Grove & Gray (2018), nursing professionals can incorporate the
evidence-based program in their diagnosis or treatment. Starting from asking the clinical
question for identifying the problem to applying the evidence-practice will help in more
accuracy as well as higher quality of care to the patients. This approach utilizes researches
from multiple shreds of evidence like analyzing the case, reports, studies or personal
experiences. Nursing professionals can stay updated with the latest protocols or any practice
for patients. Therefore, the EBP approach increases the higher chance of recovery for
patients.
Hypertension
Hypertension also knows as high blood pressure that is a condition when there is a
higher force of blood against the artery walls. The major complication results in stroke,
