Hence, the research gap signifies that Morrison is not as much developed as their competitors are and this study provides a deep understanding about different AT which a supermarket may use in order to stay ahead in the competition.
The potential opportunity of the quoted firm is to grow the market for organic products which helps to increase the sales and meet the demand of customers as well. Moreover, company may also sell their products online by applying different discounts vouchers in order to enhance the brand image. Therefore, with the help of international expansion of Morrison stores that can also boost the overall business by applying the advance technology. Apart from this, company may also invest upon the robotics that assist to improve the customer service and this in turn provides another opportunity for the business to grow at further level of success. In addition to this, company can also turn up their stores into online so that it establishes its unit virtually at different countries and enhance the customer base as well (Tan and et.al., 2021). Hence, it is clearly reflected that with the help of effective strategies and implementation of AT, company raise its performance in the terms of financially and non-financially. The aim of this research is to identify the importance of advance technology (AT) for Morrison and also study on different AT for company which can be used in order to stay ahead in the competition. The research question which the present study wants to address in order to get a better understanding are as mentioned below: What is the role of using robotics as an advance technology within a business? What is the impact of using AT upon Morrison's financial performance? What are the marketing trend that drivingthe use of advanced technology in the supermarket sector in the UK?
