Introduction
It is important to consider that no single methods work for students with
different needs ‘one size does not fit all’. However, with determination,
understanding and hard work, as pre service teacher we can discover
ways to create effective inclusion for students to work effectively in
current and future educational setting. Throughout this reflection paper, it
will demonstrate an independent analysis of group presentation, summary
of what individuals have learnt about needs of students with especial
needs in relation to inclusion education program. Additionally, an
explanation of how this task will help our teaching practice in the future
with respect of the Code of Ethics and Code of Conducts.
Analysis of group presentation
Strengths
Generally, our group work together effectively and efficiently to finish
this assignment and overcome difficulties. As a group, we begin the
assignment in effective way by breaking down whole tasks into even
portions to make all group work easier. We had a positive atmosphere
and quality communication between members in our group work. An
ability to recognize individual’s strengths, weakness, and creating a
balance workload help us as a group to work very efficiently. When it
comes to presentation, we were confident to provide the information
that we have been putting together. Based on the feedback we
received from that class revealed that our presentation was very
informative. We also created an engaging activity at the start and at
the end of presentation, which the class seems engaged.
Weakness
During the preparation I only find one weakness such as everyone in
group member beginning to slack off after individuals completed
their given task. Everyone in the group loose interest to participating
in collaborative tasks such as PowerPoints, preparing activities and
left it to last minutes. However, there a few weakness during
presentation for example, we were just reading off from the notes
and no interactive discussion. In some parts information was too
much for class to understand or engage, stayed whole together in
one corner not moving around.
Despite, there are a few weaknesses we as a group we work
together well to the group strengths that cover any individual
weakness. In the future, areas that we will changes are we need to
completed everything and well prepared before presentation. This
gives us a confident to create engaging classroom, for example
providing activates, talks more without a script, moving around
asking question and discussion with the class. I believe this changes
will improve our group performance and future performance of
individual in our practicum experience.
