1EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS OF ERP SYSTEMS
ERP vendors identification
Supreme Dry Cleaners (SDC) with Richard as its owner is one of the leading dry
cleaning companies of Australia that has established its business for over a span of 40 years.
However with the expansion of the business, the business has folded outwards at a substantial
rate. This is the reason for which there was a necessity for an effective implementation of an
ERP system (Haddara and Elragal 2013). As the management of the current system was
unable to maintain records for the number of repeat customers, the customer database, busy
periods, total expenses along with the profit margin, there was a serious urgency for Richard
to identify the potential ERP vendors that would be best for the type of business that is being
carried on. As there are several benefits of an ERP implementation, the effective ERP that
Richard may find suitable for Supreme Dry Cleaners are Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage,
Oracle NetSuite and Deltek.
Microsoft Dynamics is an ERP software that is targeted towards solving the issues of
the small and the medium sized enterprises. Initially it was developed as the Great Plains
Software in the year 2001 (Luszczak 2013). Microsoft had an acquisition of this software in
that year and later with the combination of other products formed an ERP system and named
the collection as the Microsoft dynamics.
Odoo is another ERP system that is an all in one business software. Odoo was formed
in the year 2005 and the founder of the system was Fabien Pinckaers. It was primarily
focussed on providing effective solutions for the large organisations. Initially it was known as
TinyERP (Ganesh et al. 2016).
Sage is an effective ERP system that is based on the same principle of solving the
issues of the small and the medium based organisations. David Goldman, Paul Muller and

Graham Wylie founded it in the year 1981. The first software of the company was launched
in the year 1984 (Sage 2014).
Oracle NetSuite is an ERP system that is confined towards meeting the company
requirements along with providing effective strategies of management. The founder of this
ERP system is Evan Goldberg who came up with the idea in 1998 in the state of California
(Rolling 2016).
Deltek is another variant of the ERP family. The PPU Software A/S with the name of
Maconomy founded it in the year 1989. The purpose of this ERP is to provide all over
solutions to the company so that they can foster in the commercial market (Emam 2013).
ERP module identification
All the above mentioned ERP systems are composed of several modules that look
after the various aspects required for the enterprise to be effective in the commercial market.
Every ERP is designated with individual modules that aims at generating substantial growth
of specific areas along with an intention of increasing the efficiency of those areas. The
combination of the modules may be in the form of various techniques but the objective of
each of the module set in an ERP system is similar that is to spearhead the profitability using
suitable management techniques with the minimal use of the resources (Siswanto and
Maulida 2014).
The ERP modules of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system provides effective
solutions to resolve the issues that arises with the present manual system. The several
modules of the system include managing the supply chain, automated repetitive functions,
business planning, management of cost complexities, visibility to the performance factors and
meeting needs with functionality (Birch 2013). As these modules are generally focussed

towards harnessing fortune for the small and the medium based organisations, the reliability
in the implementation of this ERP system increases automatically.
The ERP modules of the Odoo ERP system include the enterprise management,
human resources management or the HRM, logistics management, accounting and the
finance management, customer relationship management or the CRM, project management
and e-commerce management (Enaya 2016). These modules of the ERP will intend to
provide integrity to the business management of SDC.
The ERP modules of the Sage ERP system includes accounting and finance, business
intelligence and reporting, customer service, purchasing management, manufacturing
management, sales management and the warehouse management. These modules are built
towards reaching the company goals within a specific span of time (Hustad and Olsen 2013).
Moreover, they are intended towards increasing the scope of the future opportunities
according to the company perspective.
The ERP modules of the Oracle NetSuite ERP system includes the financial
management, supply chain management, order management, production management,
warehouse management and the procurement tools (Azhagan and Dhatchayani 2017). These
modules govern the various aspects of the Oracle NetSuite ERP system which are targeted
towards the efficiency of SDC.
The ERP modules of the Deltek ERP system includes the business performance
management, profitability, project management, finance management and the human resource
management (Morozov and Timinsky 2016). These modules are profound as its intention is
to boost up the productivity of the system so that the company is able to occupy a notable
spot in the commercial market with the minimal use of its resources.
