CHARACTER STRENGTHS

Character strengths are a significant factor in operating an organization successfully and for
leadership. The habitual characteristics of an individual are controlled by the thinking pattern of
a person. Thus in order to build a strong character, which is an essential trait of a successful
leader, one first needs a deep understanding of those characteristics and the thinking behind them
that controls those characteristics. In order to properly operate a business and lead an
organizational work, a person needs to change, they've limited more personalized thinking habits
and increase their thinking capabilities to a broader system based or collective perspective. A
leader must think according to the orientation of the stakeholders of the organization as well as
the total system operation in a way that could maximize the productivity and the profitability of
the organization according to the current situations (Sosik et al., 2018). Maintaining the ethical
values of work while planning for maximizing the profitability of the organization is very
important for successfully running a business and gaining sustainability. In order to do so, a
leader must strengthen their decision-making skills so that they can be able to take the right
decision which will increase the profits as well as maintain the ethical and moral values of the
work at the same time. Thus a proper character strength building program can be beneficial for
the members of an organization in order to successfully operate and lead a business.
In the following is the complete agenda of the workshop that will be organized on the character
strengths building is provided.

8:30 to 8:35 – Defining the concept of character strengths and how they are essential for a
leader.

8:35 to 8:40 – Understanding the concept of in-depth learning process using U theory for
improving the character strengths of an individual.

9:00 to 9:03 – Answering the questionnaire provided to the audience.
9:03 to 9:07 - Evaluating the answers and providing an outlook on those answers of few
chosen participants on their character and how they could strengthen those
characteristics. Encouraging the participants to practice this on a regular basis for
contentious improvement of their character strength.
9:10 to 9:15 – Group discussion of issues the participants expect to face in their
workplaces and how to solve them by strengthening their individual characteristics.
