Effective use of communication at various
levels
IT department is facing the problem of communication while working. For
this purpose, awareness has to be created at all levels for the importance of
communication. Some of the importance are as follows:
Source of information: For making decision regarding the new software
development or implementation of new technology and collecting information
from various sources, effective communication should be done.
Promotes Motivation: If effective communication is done between
employer and employee then this may act as a motivational factor. Through
this, proper working can be done and employee will be self motivated if
effectively communicated.
Team Building: Effective communication may help in building the team
because employee can trust the management and other team members. Thus,
effective communication process helps in building the teams and there will be
good team dynamics which will help Ocado Technology to enhance the team
spirit.

The importance of doing effective communication should be communicated
at all levels such as to the senior management, middle management and
operational management. Communication has to be done by adopting various
styles that are to be used at different levels. While communicating at senior
level, email can be sent by using assertive communication style. Permission
can be taken for communicating the importance of communication at other two
levels also. At middle level, email can be done and also by calling meetings, it
can be communicated by using assertive style. For communicating this matter
at junior level, notices can be placed at notice board and also training session
can be conducted to make people aware about the use of effective
communication.
