The job description is a very important part for the chosen sector and company. I have
chosen the oil and gas industry and my chosen organization is British Petroleum. I will have to
be updated with the current legal systems and approach to the environmental risks and issues that
have evolved throughout. Apart from that I must have good analytical skills and knowledge in
software so I can demonstrate my skills in the best ways for my career improvement. I must be
an expert in word processing, spreadsheets, arranging meetings instantly to find out the solutions
and many more.
Alongside my degree I must be very good in handling the computer system and possess a
good knowledge in the data entry formulation. This is very important since this will lead me to
keep a record of all the deals with the previous clients. A good knowledge will be required in the
report generation process as well. I will have to develop my communication skills as well. I can
opt to do a professional course in improving my communication skills. I must possess a
professional training on the public relations matter as well.
My CV and Linkedin profile is very strong to land me with my dream jobs. In my CV I
have demonstrated that I have the required skills for the dream job in the oil and gas industry.
Apart from that my CV also shows that I have good enough knowledge in computer and I update
myself on the regular basis. The top companies in the oil and gas companies will require the
proper team work and adjustability from me. It is because many radical changes come up within
this industry. This is why I will have to adhere to the changes and work accordingly as the
situation demands. I have mentioned these things in my CV and Linkedin profile as well.

The interview process was a successful one and I am very much confident in being
employed in the British Petroleum. I have portrayed myself in the best ways so I could be
selected in the interview by my chosen company. I have gone through the demands of the British
Petroleum like they want their employees to be able to adapt and take up new challenges. I have
said in the interview that I am very much volatile and I will work as per the demands of the
company. As my career aspirations are very high I will need to work very hard and provide the
company with the best productivity (Hill and Brierley 2017). The interviewers had tested me by
putting in a difficult position within the organizational operations. I had answered the question in
the best way I could. This sums up my quality and ability to cope up with the difficult situations.
The company had tested me with my capabilities in the handling the computer system and the
data entry. I was successful in demonstrating them with my expertise in this. The STAR method
had been very effective to show my skills. The different things like the Situation, Task, Activity
and Result. This method has been applied in writing down the CV very well. It has been helpful
for me to show how I have applied the method to bring out my managing capabilities. The
description of applying the STAR method has been made in the appendix section. The result
showed that I will be competent enough for the job description as the administrative officer in
the British petroleum. The team of interviewers had questioned me about my expertise in the
team work. My CV shows that I have the needed expertise for the team work abilities as well. I
have said that I can co-ordinate with my team members very well and direct them towards the
proper success of the organization. I have also said that I will work according to the business
goals of my organization British petroleum.

I have learned several things in this module. These things are related to the weaknesses or
the things I have not got proper percentage in the Gallup strengths test. I have learned from the
test that I will need to evaluate myself more on the grounds of the determination and
salesmanship. As an administrative officer I will have to make sure that our products and
services are provided to the customers on time and the employees are paid at proper times. These
things will be highly important for me to provide to the employees and the development of the
organization as well.
Apart from these abilities I will also have to be bold in taking the risks within the
companies. I can go on to raise my ambitions to get the best out of the employees and provide
the best outcomes for the benefit of the company. I also learned that I focused on my priorities
only when taking the strong decisions. However, I will have to rely on the points of view of other
employees as well since they are the integral parts of the organization. I will have to lead the
employees as the perfect leader who will employ the democratic leadership for the benefit of the
companies.
Generally I am pessimistic whenever I face the difficult situations. However I have to be
strong and optimistic whenever I face the difficult situations. I will have to deal with them with
the strong intent to solve them. I must be curious in knowing about the changes that take place
around the other big organizations. This will surely increase my creativity as well. My
innovation and creativity will lead my team towards the future success of the organization.
