Employability Skills: Quick Learning, Reliability, Self-Confidence, Organizing, and Skill Development

This article discusses the five major strengths of the author based on the Gallup strength test, which are quick learning, reliability, self-confidence, organizing, and skill development. The author explains how these strengths are essential qualities for becoming a successful leader in the business sector. The article also highlights the importance of identifying potentiality and developing skills in others, which is considered an essential trait for leaders. The author concludes by emphasizing the significance of possessing a sense of responsibility as an essential trait of a successful leader.

According to the result of Gallup strength test, my strengths are my ability to relate with
others, ability of quick learning, ability to organize, ability to identify potentiality and develop
skills in others and the self confidence or self assurance. Referring to the Gallup strength
assessment, my ability is my ability learns things at a quick pace. I am keen in learning new
things and I possess a great desire of learning new things. I also apply that new knowledge in the
practical field. Having the ability to learn new things in a quick manner, I easily get adapted to
any change. In addition to that, my learning ability helps me to enhance my multitasking ability.
I believe quick learning is one of the major traits that most of the successful leaders possess as it
helps them to solve problems (Chhokar, Brodbeck and House 2013). Not only to solve problems,
are leaders required to keep themselves open to new knowledge as the dimension of business
world continuously changes. Thus it can be right to state that learning ability is one of the traits
that leaders must possess in order to successfully handle all the tasks.
On the other hand, the test result of Gallup strength result revealed that my strength is my
reliability. I can easily relate with others and my ability to communicate with people enhances
my quality. My ability to relate with other people helps me to better engage with other people
which are one of the most essential traits for successful leaders. Relating with people refers to
the ability through which people not only build healthy bonding between them but also
cooperates with each other encouraging group work instead of individual contribution. In terms
of business, the ability to relate with others is one of the most important qualities in general for
business individuals (Landis, Hill and Harvey 2014). Most successful business individuals are
observed as successful realtors. However, the ability of relating or engaging with others is
considered as one of the most essential trait while recruiting. In addition to that, organizations
arrange training and development programs in order to train professional to become cooperative

to each of the members of the team. The ability of relating with others is one of the most desired
qualities within the business sector thus I believe possessing the quality of relating with others
will help me in my future endeavors.
Beside of the above mentioned abilities, there are three more major strengths as the
Gallup strength test result. One of them is my self confidence or self assurance. I believe in
myself and I am confident regarding my capabilities. Whenever I am assigned any task, I
successfully complete it within assigned timeline. My ability to remain confident about myself
helps me to deal with much emergency issue. I consider this quality of mine as my major
strength since believing in myself helps me to remain confident whenever any problem or issue
arrives (Vlachos, Panagopoulos and Rapp 2013). In my opinion, in order to become successful
one must be confident irrespective of career. In terms of business sector, it must be mentioned
that leaders must be confident as they are to take decisions in day to day affairs. Therefore I
believe that in order to become a successful leader one should have confidence about his ability.
My strength is my ability to organize. Organizing and arranging things is one of the
major characteristics of my personality. Whatever work I do, I prefer doing it in an organized
way. Apart from doing jobs in the organized manner, I have the quality of organizing people in
the right manner. I believe that working in an organizing way or arranging manner avoids many
unnecessary issues. In my point of view, often it is seen that many unwanted problems arise due
to following organizing manner (Yashkova et al. 2016). Working in an organizing manner also
helps in completing work within time without any delay. Thus in order to avoid delays at work,
one must be well organized. I believe being organized is one of them essential traits that one
should possess in order to become successful in his career.

Meanwhile, there is another major strength that is my ability to develop skills. The result
of Gallup strength reveals developing attribute is one of my greatest strength. I possess the
ability of identifying potentiality within others (Vlachos, Panagopoulos and Rapp 2013). I try to
develop skills within them based on their potentiality. For example if I identify that one possess
good communication skill within him or her and can become a good orator, I try to develop the
essential skills so that he or she can be a successful orator. Most of the business professional
considers identifying potentiality and helping employees to develop skills is an essential trait for
leaders.
In respect to the previous discussion, I would like to assert that I was aware of the
strengths I possess. However, this test helped me to a considerable extent as it enabled me to
understand that which the areas are that I should work more in order to enhance my skills. All of
these above mentioned strengths are my essential qualities in order to become a successful
manger, thus I would practice such exercises which will increase these skills. Apart from these
skills, I believe one of the most important qualities that I possess is the sense of responsibility
which is also an essential trait of a successful leader.
