INTRODUCTION
This essay will be discussing about the employability skills which will be identified with
the help of SWOT analysis through which the strengths and shortcomings can also be
determined. This essay will be outlining the strategies that can be helpful for the overcoming the
shortcomings that can strengthen the employability skills and competencies.
TASKS
SWOT analysis is an internal evaluation framework which can be used by an individual
as well a an organization through which various internal factors, such as- strengths,weakness,
opportunities and threats can be determined (Akudugu, 2018). A SWOT analysis in relation to
current state of employability is discussed in the below paragraphs:
Strengths: Some of the key employability skills which has been strength are-
communication skills, team working ability, self-management, planning and organization,
reliability and professionalism. Communication skills has been supportive while working in an
organization as this is helpful in sharing and transferring required information through which
corporate goals can be accomplished. Working in teams has been another strength which has
been helpful in effectively performing in team and meeting the targets through which
organizational productivity can be enhanced and this also supports in creative learning from
other team members. The personal or social network which has been created at workplace is
another strength that can bring various advantages to me in near future through which I can learn
and get more opportunities for career growth and development.
Weakness: Some of the shortcomings which has been responsible for negatively
influencing the performance and productivity at workplace are- lack of technical skills and
limited work experience which has been restricting the future opportunities and hindering the
level of performance that can be delivered to the organization (Kelly and Westoby, 2018). Due to
lack of technical skills, the inability to perform assigned job roles and responsibility has been a
challenging task in the company that is faced in day to day activities. The other weakness is
limited working experience which is restricting the future employability growth and
development opportunities and such factors are negatively influencing the future targets that can
be achieved. Some of the other weakness that has been faced are lack of leadership skills and
