INTRODUCTION In today's business environment, every organisation is facing challenge of absenteeism. This will reduces productivity as well as performances of employees. It is crucial for companies to reduce absenteeism from their company which can be possible by increasing employee engagement in the workplaces(Dom and Ahmad, 2019). Employee engagement is the concept of human resources that shows a dedication and enthusiasm of workers towards their job. It is necessary for organisations to increase employee engagement in the company so that they will be able to ensure the success and growth of organisation. This is the essay that will be discussing employee engagement programmes which is necessary for the company's overall development. This will be also discussing absenteeisms can be control with the help of employee engagement. MAIN BODY In companies, it is significant for organisations that they should give importance to the employees so that they will feel that they are important. This will not only increase their morale but also assists in increasing the performances of employees(Ahmed and et.al., 2020). It affects on profitability, customer experiences, revenues, employees turnover, etc. According to the research, it shows that 92% executives believes that employee engagement is necessary for organisations as it performs better and also boost success of company (What is Employee Engagement? What, Why, and How to Improve It, 2021). It is found that employees are the most valuable assets of company. It is vital for organisations that they should develop employee engagementprogramsintheworkplaces.Employeeengagementprogramswillassisting organisations to boost morale and performances of employees. Employeesengagementprogrammesshouldinvolvealtheactivitiesthatmotivate employeestowardsachievementoforganisationalgoalsandobjectives.Programmesof employee engagement are including trainings, workplace parties, sports events, recognition, learning lunches, team building activities, fundraisers, etc. These are the basic activities which involves in employees engagement programmes(Shaaban, 2018). It is vital for company that they should include three important elements that are leadership, professional growth, and rewards and recognition. It is very important for the companies to involve sustainability in 3
employees engagement. In present scenario of marketplace, companies should develop and sustaining employee engagement so that they will be ensure sustainable growth and success. It is found by companies that absenteeism problem is increasing day by day which is not goodfororganisationalsuccessandgrowth(KulikowskiandSedlak,2020).Workplace absenteeism is defined the leave or time taken by employees due to illness or any other reasons. Increasing in absenteeism is not good for organisations as it gives a negative impact on the success and growth of company. It is found that absenteeism is increasing and there is no good explanation get by companies from their employees that why they they are absent from office work. Workplace are negatively affected as it reduces their productivity and also influence on other employees. Workloads are increasing due to absenteeism on other employees that is not effective for companies growth. There are many reasons found of absenteeism such as workplace bullying, family issues, team and management issues, mental health issues, burnout, stress, etc. It is found by organisations such as Unilever and other small firms that absenteeism has provided many negative consequences such as reduction in productivity, increase in employees turnover ratio, etc. Employees engagement programmes provides many benefits to the employees as well as employers. Employers get benefits such as they are able to retain their talented employees, attracted qualified employees, creating a harmonious workplace environment, developing a team, etc. With the help of employees engagement, an organisation is able to achieve their goals and objectives which is the ultimate target of companies(Ogbuanya and Chukwuedo, 2017). In addition to this, it is also found that employees also get benefits from employees engagement programmes. They feel motivated towards their target and give their best. They also feel that they are important for the company that assist in better performance which is necessary for rewards and recognition. It will also assists in improving their professional skills that generate employability skills. It is also found by companies that they are able to give better employment opportunities to the employees which is necessary for their overall development. There are some limitations of the employee engagement programmes which is necessary for the organisation to consider in the workplaces. There is a threat of revelation of top policies of organisations. It is also found that every employee is not able to match their IQ with other employees. engagement, companies need to provide training and information up to date. This will increase the workload of companies(Rai and et.al., 2018). Companies need provide effective training programmes due to this, they need to invest their time and money which becomes expansive for companies. It is found that small organisations are not able to develop employees engagement programmes. So it is analysed that companies need to develop strategies after understanding of their companies' problem. This is crucial for companies that they should analyse their workplace conditions and behaviour of employees so that they will be able to reduce their limitations. Employee engagement programmes is necessary for companies but it should be systematically and strategically apply in the organisation. CONCLUSION It can be concluded from this essay that employee engagement is very important for organisation as employees are the assets of companies. That's why it is crucial for companies that they should involve employees in the functions and operations of organisations. It will assists in increasinginemployees'productivityandperformance.Thisresultsinattainmentof organisational goals and objectives. It will also becomes helpful in reducing absenteeism from thecompanybymakingtheemployeeshappy.Thisreportdiscussedtheimportanceof employees engagement programmes in organisations.
