Introduction
In present time, an organisation, education institute or any other business entity consists
of different functions. Some of these functions are marketing, human resource, financing,
production and so on (Armstrong and Taylor, 2020). Here, HR Department is being considered
as one of the crucial business function that consists of different roles and responsibilities in
relation to staffing, recruiting and selection at the time of workforce planning. In this report, the
educational institute that has been taken into consideration is Mont Rose College (MRC). Along
with this, report is going to be enclosed with functions of HRM, impact of recruitment and
selection, approaches of recruitment and selection, different HRM practices for both the
employer and employee and lastly, HRM practices and their effect on organisational profit and
productivity.
Task 1
P1 functions of HRM on workforce planning and resourcing of organisation
HRM
Human Resource Management is considered to be a vital element for an educational
institute, which helps in planning the workforce in much effective and in efficient manner.
Basically, this department develops a number of policies along with processes related with
selection, recruitment, compensation, placement are the primary function of human resources
management (Bratton and Gold, 2017). In present context, Mont Rose College (MRC) is
specifically looking forward to build up a whole new HR Management system, where it is
required by the whole department to understand different functions. Therefore, some of HRM
functions that Mont Rose College (MRC) needs to consider are presented underneath:
Function of HRM
Basically, recruitment/hiring, job analysis & design, performance appraisal, training &
development, salary administration and so on are said to be some of the crucial HRM functions,
which helps Mont Rose College in managing both resources and workforce in an effective
manner. All of these functions are presented underneath:
Recruitment/Hiring: Hiring is being considered as a process that lead Mont Rose
College to hire right candidate at correct vacant seats. Basically, it is needed by HR manager to
