• To identify the potential challenges that human resource professionals are facing regarding work-life balance

• Secondary data collection: Data collected from historical papers such as articles, books, newspaper and
magazine
• Deductive approach: Potential solutions were provided at the end after analysing literature and relevant theories
• Positivism research philosophy: Helped in focusing on research objectives and collect evidence based data to
reach conclusion

• Argument
• Organizations have understood the importance of strengthening
employee relations through work-life balance
• However in order to maintain higher productivity with limited
resources work-life balance is affected
• Conclusion
• Organizations are failing to quantify data in order to measure
employee relation
• Factors such as assigning projects, setting deadline, collecting
data and developing organizational culture are the main elements
that construct work-life balance and develop employee relation

ARTICLE 2: EMPLOYEE EMPOWERMENT AND
EMPLOYEE RELATION
• Objective:
• To identify the importance of employee empowerment on enhancing employee performance,
satisfaction and commitment
• To identify the challenges that employers face while creating employee empowerment strategies
• To analyse the impact of empowering leadership on employee motivation
• Method:
• Data collected from 105 empirical articles
• Data consisted of 30,000 employees from 30 countries
• Statistical data analysis done through meta-analysis

ARTICLE 2: EMPLOYEE EMPOWERMENT AND
EMPLOYEE RELATION
• Argument:
• Empowering leaders were found to retain creative employees
along with mutual coordination among themselves
• Leaders were found to face challenges from certain
employees who failed to deal with empowerment because
new responsibilities created more stress among them
• Conclusion:
• Some employees definitely respond better than others while
empowerment
• Cultural differences between eastern and western countries
indicated the magnitude of empowerment impact and its
considerable challenges in employee relation
