e Pluralistic frame of references can be defined as effective procedure of managementof workforce under which people are divided into groups and they focus upon setting objectivesso as to achieve long term aim of the corporation. . On the other hand, an organization can divideemployees in different departments such as marketing, finance and human resource(Thirulogasundaram and Kumar, 2012). In this context, each group has its own legal loyalty andrespect to their object. In addition to this, people emphasize on own objectives and goals so thatthey can work towards the achievement of individual targets. Further, there are two major groupsin pluralistic perspective which are: management and trade unions. Employees have differentvalues and goals and they can focus on fulfilment of business objectives. Moreover, the role ofmanagement is limited in coordinating and controlling the business activities. So, subordinatescannot interact and coordinate with each other (Heery, 2016). It affects the performance ofbusiness because it delays the process of decision making process. In Marriott hotel, employees’participation is highly welcomed as in case of pluralistic frame of reference. However, employees at lower level are controlled by concerned authorities at middle level of management. It can be therefore said that management of operations in Marriott hotel at lower level is carriedaccording to unitary frame of reference, nevertheless, the operations at middle or topmanagement are conceded as per the pluralist form of government. 1.2 Trade union plays a significant role in the organization (Mowday, Porter and Steers,2013).
