Introduction •Employee relations refers as a company efforts to maintain and create positive relationship with their employees. Employee engagement is more important for overall success of a company. An organization want to strengthen their global footprint, so they have to cover whole market, for this company set up subsidiaries in many countries. Subsidiary company means that company belongs to other organization, which is usually known as holding or parent company. Unilever plc company deal in consumer goods, located in London United Kingdom. Company mission is to add some vitality to life, by helping customers to look good, feel good, and get more to live a good life. This report will highlight the legal and practical challenges that company experience in controlling the employment relation with the workplace and also includes some recommendations to maintain employee relations issues such as open communication, encourage employees provide feedbacks, appreciation etc.

There are many legal and practical challenges in employment relationship, as company expand their business and set subsidiaries in different countries so there are many issues to maintain good employee relations. Common employment relation issues are: •Conflict management:Conflict can occur in any workplace and environment, as disputes and disagreement between employees can be occurred at any time. These result in ineffective communication, so employee relation manager or Human resources department solve conflict between employee because it gives negative impact on their productivity and organization growth. •Cost optimization:The relation between employee and employer comes from common consensus such as cemented in legal documentation like contract. The consequences of pandemic as many employees struggling in managing their expenses because at the time of pandemic company reduce the salary, salary deferment, removal of benefits etc. and many employee refuse to work at the low salary so at that time company also struggling. •Occupational safety and health act:This act make sure that each and every employee should work under healthy and safe working conditions. By enforce safety and health act employees feel safe and company conduct orderly inspection of working environment to ensure that they match the standards set. The main purpose of this act is to prevent employees from injuries, disease, deaths in the working environment.
•Break:A break also give great impact on employee behaviour, an employer should make sure that every employee have meal break and short tea or coffer break so employees work in more effective manner and feel energetic to work. •Economical and legal policies:This is challenge for employment relationship because government policies related to employment have great impact on employer and employee relationship. •Annual leave:This is another issue which come to end as dispute between manager and employees, companies have various policies about leaves is totally depends on company. Organization deal with many leave policies such as stress leave, parental leave calls, sick leave etc. •Pay rise:Ignoring and declining pay rise request is give negative impact workplace, because they want fulfilment from the job so company should focus in this if they already pay fair wages then they also considered this and offer some rewards, incentives etc. •Meet expectation:This is the most challenging for employer to meet the expectation of employees, they should not expect more monetary benefits over the company budget. •Safety at work:Company should focus on prevention at any costs, because if employee are not safe then it gives bad impact in organization success. Company conduct training programs related to better understating working environment, culture, safety equipment, safety guidelines etc. •Contract:In simple words an agreement between two or more peoples is called contract. It plays an important role in employee and employee relationship, it involves promises and for breach the promise the law provide a solution.

Recommendations To A Set Of Employment Relations Issues •For handling employee relations issue an employer should understand the nature of conflict and then take corrective action to solve the problem. •For better performance the employer should make training programs to enhanceemployeesunderstanding,skillsrelatedtothework,provide guidance of needed to help employees feel motivated and work in positive manner. •Thebestwaytoenhanceemployeerelationsistoencourageopen communication culture between employees and employers , employees and management.Thismotivatessafeworkingenvironmentwhereevery employee feel free to communicate and share their ideas. •Regular feedback helps employee to aware about their weaknesses and strengths, so they make changes in their behaviour and work ethics. •So it helps employee to improve their performance and do work in more effective manner.
•Encourage employees participation in an organization, share their ideas and experience to increase harmony between members, and also increase their comfort level and involvement within an organization and enhance employees relations. •Good employee relation show more efficiency, productivity and motivated employees which lead to improve the production level. •Communication is needed to maintain good relationship so company conduct training session and brainstorming session so it improves their thinking capabilities Open communication provide transparency that is employees feel their manager are honest, open-minded which create cooperative working atmospheres. •Manager also guide and support employee to ensure that every employee get right job and meaningful work. •Organization offer career development program's so employees are more engage in improving their working style and motivated towards work in effective manner so it enhances growth of organization as well as improve their performance. •A good employment relationship helps company to retain their employees and strong impact on success of company.
