Introduction
Enterprise system has been lately developed more in customer centric systems. The
system deals with the various data and the functions that lead towards the aim of the
organization (Iacob et al. 2014). The EA frameworks are very helpful in identifying the best
analysing method for improving any business system. The improvement is done by
collaborating the business with the latest technologies that helps in achieving the aim and
future goals of the company. It applies the architecture principles and practices to collaborate
any business system with the information system (Zarvić and Wieringa 2014). This report
discusses about the Enterprise Architecture in terms of the provided case studies,
implementation and their outcomes. It also consists with two relational model of different
enterprise system that helps in deciding the design and requirements of the system.
1.1 Johnson & Johnson
In 1995, a large pharmaceutical company named Johnson and Johnson that deals in
health care and medical devices have enterprise system where the company works with other
150 operating companies. The decentralized company generated has a total revenue of $15
billion. Due to presence of multiple companies and dealing with the customers, the invoices
are collected by the customers at multiple places. The company now wants to introduce a
single point of interaction to its key customers.
Problem in Transformation
The company and its managers are more concerned about the benefits and revenue of
the company. They don’t work for making a customer’s life easier in any way of their
functions. The customers has to deal with multiple invoices and place visiting. However, the
company is now changing the structure as the new business technologies are more about its
customers where the customer will be in contact at one place. The problem in the existing

system to apply this change is to apply the technical infrastructure with the business
infrastructure. The employees of the company also do not work as a customer centric though
or mindset. The implementation of the new infrastructure will require a total new team,
schedule and cost funds (Erol, Sauser and Boardman 2014).
Solution for the Transformation
The idea of presenting a single face during customer interaction will require larger
Information technology changes. The existing Infrastructure is developed during these years
based on decentralized system. The change also means the firm now have to think about the
Information technology with the corporate level and operation level both. The firm is
thinking about giving training to the employees for realignment of the new corporate strategy
with IT. Also the funding strategy of the company has been revaluated by thinking of the new
corporate implementation.
Zachman Framework Analysis
The Zachman framework analyse the Enterprise Architecture in a very simple logical
structure by classifying all the representation and organizing them. The Zachman framework
examines the enterprise system management in way that it does not change the existing
system (Lapalme et al. 2016). Figure 1 shows the general categories of classification in an
enterprise system for design. The case provided can be structured a classified in the following
design by recognising the required classes. For example the planner, owner, designer and
operator can be partitioned in according to the what, how, where, who, when and why
variables.
