Discussion
Requirement assessment of Chris and Patricia’s Legal support
Legal Support of Chris and Patricia’s is planning to adopt or implement ERP (Enterprise
Resource planning). ERP is considered to be cloud based system which helps in efficient
operation of business. The requirement of Chris and Patricia legal support can be easily satisfied
by proper implementation of ERP system (Weng and Hung, 2014). The needs or requirement
mainly focus on various kinds of lawyers and clients associated to it. The record is generally
inclusive of advice which is generally provided to clients, previous cases related to clients and
any kind of proficiency and related information. The legal support of Chris and Patricia’s needs
ERP (Enterprise Resource planning) so that they can easily record all kinds of details of lawyers
like name, address and lastly bar council which is used at the time of registration (Tarhini,
Ammar and Tarhini, 2015). ERP (Enterprise Resource planning) should be designed in such a
way that it can easily provide court details which is related to a particular kind of case. Analysis
of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and discussion with respect to vendors has been provided
in coming pages.
Enterprise Resource Planning System Purchase Process-General Guidelines
Purchase process or method for Enterprise Resource planning generally comes up with
various kinds of guidelines at different stages. The steps of purchase can be easily elaborated in
form of various kinds of questions (Kulkarni et al. 2015). In the first stage it is generally seen
ERP system is not considered to be much friendly and it does not provide legal support to Chris
and Patricia (Weng and Hung, 2014). This step is considered to be essential so that organization
can easily have a clear idea regarding ERP system before implementation and list of benefits
which can be obtained from it.

5ENTERPRISE SYSTEM
User friendly choices are generally needed for having a clear idea regarding clients and
employees. The second question which is encountered in the later stage is Enterprise System will
be compatible with the legacy software during any kind of transition for the support for legal
Chris and Patricia. This step mainly focusses on transition of data in a secure way that is from
existing system to new kind of ERP system (Leon, 2014). This mainly checks transition of
legacy for the legal support for Chris and Patricia. The third question encountered is the number
of vendors which should be evaluated for proper purchasing of ERP system. This step is
considered to be important or crucial as it provides legal support for Chris and Patricia for
various kinds of evaluation of working process and choosing of various kinds of vendors as per
the needs of the organization.
Legal support of Chris and Patricia mainly checks vendor can easily provide cloud and
hybrid support for various kinds of ERP system (Khan and Faisal, 2015). The question
encountered in the fourth stage is to properly check or analyze the fact ERP system is flexible or
not with changing business condition and goals associated with it. This stage mainly ensures that
Chris and Patricia legal support for business condition and goals are altered and ERP system
should be flexible enough so that they can easily adjust themselves with changes. The fifth
question is the relation of cost with ERP tools and its affordability (Jain and Sharma, 2016).
Enterprise Resource planning is not enough to provide benefit to Chris and Patricia legal kind of
support, needs associated to it and extra cost associated with training.
The overall cost associated with ERP system is very high. Chris and Patricia legal
support should be considered they budget whether they can afford or not. The sixth question
mainly checks the fact that whether ERP system can work smoothly or not (Gupta et al. 2017).
This stage mainly checks the capacity of ERP for proper working of an organization taking

account of the needs of the various organization. Legal support of Chris and Patricia should
consider the needs of prevention of any kind of risk in the near future. The seventh question is to
analyze the fact that what can be easily accomplished by the implementation of ERP system.
This is considered to be an important factor as they should check the fact that what can be
gathered from ERP system. They generally check availability tools, security for storing of data
and cost involved in those tools and upgradation related to it (Devos, Van Landeghem, and
Deschoolmeester, 2016). This stage generally checks the fact that if ERP system can be handled
properly or not by Chris and Patricia legal support. This is mainly analyzed because small
knowledge in the domain of EPR can easily damage the legal support of Chris and Patricia.
