Introduction
The Enterprise Resource Planning is software that is used for business purposes such as
accounting, procurement, management and project manufacturing. Enterprise Resources
Planning is used in the current scenario due to its huge potential to simplify the business
operations and functions (Chaudhary, 2017). Enterprise Resources Planning consists of software
modules which has different specifications for different operations of businesses. Enterprise
Resources Planning helps to provide a central system for business functions that is shared across
the industry (Leon 2014). There are huge numbers of Enterprise Resources Planning vendors in
the market that suits different types of organizations. The report focuses on the potential
Enterprise Resources Planning vendors that need to be identified and to choose appropriate
vendor for the given case study (Umar et al. 2016). The case study chosen here is Chris and
Patricia’s Legal support who is considering choosing from the various Enterprise Resources
Planning vendors. Chris and Patricia’s Legal support is a small firm which is run by Chris and
his daughter Patricia for providing free legal support to the local people. The overwhelming
response made them to recruit more employees for various processes. Now they are planning to
adopt Enterprise Resources Planning system for the organization. The purpose of this report is to

by proper implementation of ERP system (Weng and Hung, 2014). The needs or requirement
mainly focus on various kinds of lawyers and clients associated to it. The record is generally
inclusive of advice which is generally provided to clients, previous cases related to clients and

application. Sage 300 is considered to good option if they want to operate in various countries of
the world. It is considered to be mid-level offering in various kinds of vendors of Enterprise
Resource planning. Sage X3 is considered to be useful for industries which have single targets.
Infor is another kind of ERP planning in the market domain. It is considered to be mid-
tier player and generally targets medium to large size organization. This type of ERP is generally
used for manufacturing purpose or needs (Giachetti, 2016). The cloud site of Infor is nothing but

a web based ERP which generally targets various kinds of industry, automotive and planning of
resource across the world. Infor is nothing but a visual type of offer which consist of various
kinds of features and modules of Project management, automation of flower shop.
Odoo is another kind of ERP vendor which has proven to provide massive growth in last
few years (Leyh, 2014). Odoo is nothing but a complete package which is inclusive of billing,
project management and purchasing which is offered to industries. Odoo generally targets
various kinds of small to medium size organization and generally aims in cloud based planning
for different organization.
SAP is considered to be a leader in the vendor market of ERP. It generally has the
potential of handling complex kinds of business, situation and large number of database tables
which is storing data (Lu, Liu and Li, 2016). SAP is considered to be complex and difficult for
handing for various kinds of projects. It is generally considered to be suitable for various kinds
of large organization and has client based server which have three layers namely presentation,
application and lastly database.

Small organization like Chris and Patricia are implementing ERP just because of its huge
potential (Nagpal, S., Khatri, S.K. and Kumar, 2015). The earlier study of ERP in small and
medium size or organization has proved the need of ERP for various kinds of actions. This
function is generally inclusive of management control, production and lastly customer
satisfaction (Peng and Gala, 2014). The another study checks various methods and factors like
Grey-model which is used for selection of appropriate ERP vendors.

number of infrastructure of Oracle Enterprise planning vendor is the service architecture and MS
SQL server along with Linux and Windows. The direction and currency of Oracle Enterprise
Resource planning is SaaS solution. The financial position of infor vendor is considered to
moderate and still growing on daily basis. Hardware and software infrastructure of Infor are
generally service oriented architecture and MS SQL server, Linux and lastly windows
respectively (Morgan and Ngwenyama, 2015). The support of issue of Sage ERP is considered to
be a high value which is due to high growing rate. The support issue in Sage is nothing that they
do not support certain number of operating system. Hardware and Software infrastructure of

major missing functionality. This missing functionality can affect the data if it needs to be
transferred to any other database (Tian and Xu, 2015). This missing functionality can be solved
by establishing external database connection with Oracle ERP.
The Oracle ERP architecture consists of three layers and they are as follows. The
Integrated Oriented-Service Architecture (SOA) Gateway layer in architecture of Oracle ERP
allows integration of PL/SQL to deploy web services in Chris and Patricia’s Legal support (Tian
and Xu, 2015). The Middle Layer in architecture of Oracle ERP allows security for the web
services deployed. The Mobile Client Application layer in architecture of Oracle ERP allows
interaction of application with ERP modules via Integrated Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Gateway (Ruivo, Oliveira and Neto, 2015). The scalability, improved security, flexibility, cloud
