Enterprise system has unimaginably contributed to efficiency and productivity in many
businesses. Enterprise System has become an essential instrument in the present day without
which a good number of organizations cannot operate. When it is successfully implemented by
an organization, it guarantee an organizational combined effect that provide incentive for the
development the processes that ensure success of a business Oghazi, Fakhrai Rad, Karlsson &
Haftor, 2018; Wang, Kung & Byrd, 2018). In this document, we seek to find out the effects of
Enterprise System and data management in organizations.
As stated by a Systems Application and Products in Data processing SAP Inc., the largest
known software vendor organization around the globe, an estimate amount of 186 million
corporates subscribed to the organization’s data base by the year 2018. In general, it can be
deduced that the ES seems to outmatch organization’s legacy application systems which are
poorly set up. Moreover, the operational integration in organizations which are realized due to
the implantation of enterprise system can impact the entire organization. As a result, coupling
Enterprise System with database management in a business can potentially foster innovative
operations within corporates as it lessen time and also help in data harvesting, thus providing
essential data required to enhance the organization’s processes (Rickey, 2019). With an
organization-wide data up to date all time, which is provided by Enterprise System through ERP
system, it can be easy to picture, compare and manage the impacts of the innovation process in
the organization.

This section presents a case study involving the organizations which have been successful
with the implementation of the Enterprise System in data management. The case study involve
CEMEX corporate in USA.
COMEX-Case study
COMEX is one of the popular corporates that is dedicated to create sustainable value by
provision of high quality products and solutions to satisfy the construction needs of
organizations. For many years, the organization has shown the need for effective monitoring
through the adoption of sophisticated information management. The ES and data management
system implemented by COMEX Inc. acquired from the Earthsoft Corporate vendor had
essential data management features. Transforming from the traditional way of data management,
the enterprise system application enable checking data from various devices in the field and
directly forward the details into the organization’s data base. Additionally, the system allow its
loggers to manage the information flow, it also enables synchronization of the data collected.
While COMEX has benefited from other data management techniques the
implementation of the Enterprise system for data management has come with a greater
improvement as far as data management is concerned. This is due to the fact that the new system
enabled automation of data flow from laboratory to the field and vice versa. We can derive the
potential impacts of implementing ES for data management from this case. The following case
further reveal the impacts of implementing the approach in organizations.
