Significance of the research
The maritime industry has been able to develop proper strategies on the implementation
of risk management strategies in supply chain and maritime logistics context. There have been
various risk identified in the marine operations that has been creating an impact in the
environment. Reduction in dealing with different types of people along with the environment. It
can be concluded that the risk management strategies have been helping in reducing impact of
risks in the maritime industry (Yuen and Thai 2017). The growth and security of the logistics
chain has been maintained properly in the research. This research has focused on taking steps by
maritime logistics industry has been observed with various risks included in the decision-making
process. The concept of maritime logistics have been maintained properly in the dependency of
physical and economic integration of organization. There have been various types of maritime
cargos and products including break bulk, neo bulk, containerized cargo, liquid bulk and dry
bulk. The break bulk has been commodities that are required for loading intermodal containers or
in bulk have been transferred from one mode of transport to another mode (Song and Panayides
2015). The sub-category of general cargo has been the neo bulk that are packaged and loaded or
unloaded transferred at ports at units. The process of containerization in maritime logistics have
been the process of intermodal transport that help containers to be transported from one place to
another. The global expansion of maritime logistics have been helping in loading different mode
of transport. Thus has been helping in increasing the quality and quantity of transport of goods
in the maritime industry. The liquid type of bulk cargos have been transported in bulk and large
quantities in unpacked manners. The increase in industrialization has been helping in need of
transporting huge bulk freight all over the globe (Shin et al. 2018). There have been major use of
bulks in which ton-miles have been shipped by Maritime Transportation across the world.

However, my dissertation has focused on investigating various environmental risks that
are associated with functioning of maritime logistics in Australia. My dissertation has focused on
various aspects of globalization that have helped in establishing several networks with different
industries and companies all over the world. The technical abilities of maritime logistics have
been depended on the social and cultural values of the company (Parola, Satta and Panayides
2015). Maritime logistics have been a complex and interactive processes with regards to shipping
services. Australia has been fifth country in the usage of ships and shipping services. My
research has referred to the importance of the maritime logistic services provided in Australia.
The emerging technologies in the logistics have been discussed in the dissertation. My
dissertation has been able to maintain keen approach towards the risks involved in the maritime
logistics. There has been existence of risks in the Australian maritime industry. The conduction
of risk assessment process has been dine in my dissertation based upon the risks probability in
the Australian maritime logistics. There has been huge requirement of risk assessment process in
the maritime industry for negotiating environmental risks due to maritime logistics (Yuen and
Thai 2017). My dissertation has helped in identifying all risks involved in the maritime logistics
of Australia. A proper risk planning and identification has been done in the research study. This
requires thorough and extensive planning, which will begin with the assessment of the types of
risks encountered, followed by adequate communication to the managerial processes, for the
purpose of highlighting the rate of damaged possibly incurred, and the required decision making
procedures to regulate the same. The completion of required decision making processes have
been followed by execution and shipping organizations ports in Australia. There have been
technological innovations in the functioning or the ships that help in adoption of excess waste
energy and reutilization of ships. This has helped in transporting more quantities of goods at a

time by the ships. My dissertation refers to the process of maritime logistics that help in proving
an extensive and efficient transport of goods and services. There have been number of risks
associated with maritime logistics and financial implication of safety of human and
environmental implication.
My dissertation has included several objectives including evaluating ongoing maritime
logistics department in Australia based on its network and functional implication. The
investigation of several environmental risks in Australia with regard to Australian logistics
department have been followed by an evaluation of ongoing risk assessment processes (Barla,
Sag and Gray 2017). There have been recommendations provided related to additional risk
mitigation processes that might be employed for eradicating regulation of environmental risks in
maritime logistics department of Australia. The concept of maritime logistics have been
maintained properly in the dependency of physical and economic integration of organization.
Future works
There have been rapid enhancement of globalization that has been helping in efficient
transformation in the field of transport and emerging advances in shipping. Maritime logistics
has been an impressive development in the shipment of goods and merchandise that is concerned
with efficient functioning of various commercial business by developing organizational and
customer relationships. The enhancement of delivery of products have been depended on proper
supply chain logistics system (Jahn, Kersten and Ringle 2018). The study has helped in
identifying environmental risks and its impacts in the environment have been discussed. There
has been steady change in climate in Australia that have been affecting the functioning of
maritime logistics. Therefore, there has been elaborative research done under the procedures of
Australian Government of environmental risks in maritime logistics (Davarzani et al. 2015). The

growth and security of the logistics chain has been maintained properly in the research. This
research has focused on taking steps by maritime logistics industry has been observed with
various risks included in the decision-making process. The implications of different amount of
maritime logistics have been discussed in the research. The literature review of the research
study has been focused on the detailed analysis of different researches based maritime logistics
risks management. The techniques used in managing risks in the maritime logistics industry
have been properly maintained in the development of certain issues in the country. The delivery
of raw materials and goods have been maintained by properly risk assessment strategies in the
research. The risks management prices has been discussed in the dissertation. The statistical
analysis of the data and information collected for the research has been properly examined in the
study.
My research has selected both quantitative and qualitative approach in order to collect
data and information related to environmental risks in maritime logistics. A proper research
design has been selected in the study. Descriptive research design has been helped in focusing in
the research objectives. Data has been collected from both primary and secondary method.
Statistical analysis has been done for analyzing impact of maritime logistics in environment
(Fahimnia et al. 2015). A focus on the various qualitative and quantitative methods utilized for
data gathering and researching, along with hypothesis formulation and the required statistical
principles employed for the outlining of necessary conclusions with regards to the investigation
of environmental risks in maritime logistics, considering the scenario of Australia, has been
extensively discussed in this research.
Risks management process have been properly analyzed in the research. The
identification of risks and threats bin the maritime logistics have been discussed in the research.

ENVIRONEMTAL RISKS IN MARITIME LOGISTICS
There have been various types of risks including risk from ships, risks from ports and other risks.
These risks have been properly analyzed in this research. . This requires thorough and extensive
planning, which will begin with the assessment of the types of risks encountered, followed by
adequate communication to the managerial processes, for the purpose of highlighting the rate of
damaged possibly incurred, and the required decision making procedures to regulate the same.
The current technology rejected to the risks in maritime logistics has been assisted in order to
formulate strategies for eliminating risk in logistics sector. This research has focused on
stakeholder’s initiative for maintaining risks in the port. The container ships have been upgraded
their capacity of containing materials substantiality for seeing positively contributing to the
volume of trade by sea-routes.
The future aspect of maritime logistics will be depended on new technology of ship
engine by initiating waste heat recovery systems. The efficiency of the engine needs to be
increased that help in providing better performance and endurance to the ship (Fahimnia et al.
2015). Ships will be able to load more heavy goods at a time. This will help in fast delivery of
goods from one place to another. The risk management process needs to be integrated with
technical innovation models that help in minimizing risks in the maritime logistics.
