a. From Assessment One:
i. Justification for selecting the project – why project is a ‘must do’
The project report illustrates the case study of the Koala city. The city has been developed in recent times and has created serious
problems. The paper will illustrate the problems associated with the project that cannot be ignored. The main objective of the project is to create
awareness for keeping environment safe from pollution. It is necessary to create awareness among youths so that they can use the environmental
resources effectively. They will keep the environment safe and clean. The project manager is responsible to prepare the project plan which will
include the environmental policy and the safety measures. The project plan will help to analyse the pollution causing due to environmental
pollution and lack of awareness. If the project becomes successful, their reputation for the environmental leadership will improve.

Scope: All the schools based in Koala city. The scope of the project also involves some areas of the city
Objectives: The primary aim of the project is to improve the reputation of the school for environmental leadership

iv. Complete Project scope
The project focusses on the case study of Koala city. The Koala city gets developed in recent times and has developed serious issues. The
primary aim of the project is to develop a project plan to create awareness among the youth to keep the environment clean and safe. The project
plan will be developed and the project plan will contain the activities which correspond to the safety awareness program. Additionally the project
manager has been appointed to prepare a full project plan tender ready to submit to the council to win the project tender. At the end of the project
the youth can acknowledge what needs to be carried out to keep the environment safe and clean and pollution-free.

f. Planned Budget
The entire environmental management plan takes about $47,240. The initiation will take $5,280. The process initiation will take $1,600.
The project manager will conduct plans and will prepare artefact. The budget allocated for the planning stage is $8,960. Schools and the project

manager will be carried out and it will take $15,600. The Environmental Project Plan will be carried out by the students and the academic staff
and the budget allocated for the project is $15,800. The activities like the product reformulation, redesign of equipment, modification of
processes, byproduct recovery as well as reuse will collectively cost $5,120. The recycling of air pollutants and byproduct recovery and reuse
will collectively cost $4,200.
g. Risk Register including:
i. Risk identification and potential causes and response to each
The project is associated with several risks and the all the risks along with mitigation procedures have been defined in the project. The
potential impacts section of the plan focuses on identifying, locating and quantifying the potential impcats of the project. Koala city is suffering
from air pollution. The few key effects of air pollution are-
Acidification- Chemical reactions involve air pollutants which creates the acidic compounds. All the acidic compounds are responsible to
cause harm to the vegetation and the building. Sulfuric acid is one such air pollutant that combines with the water droplets and make up the
cloud. The water droplets thus combining with the water droplets become acid rain. Acid rain if fails o a certain area it kills tress and harm
animals. It also adversely affects fish and other wildlife. Acid rain harms the plants, it destroys the plants of the leaves. When the acid rain falls
on the soils, it changes the soil chemistry. It pollutes the water bodies like the lakes and the streams, it harms the fish and other aquatic life.

Eutrophication- rain carries nitrogen to the rivers and the soils. The nutrients of the soil and the water bodies get affected due to presence
of nitrogen in both soil and water bodies. In this way the algae are growing in the water bodies as well as the lakes and make the lives of other
living organisms dreadful.
Ground-level ozone- Gas ozone affects the health of the people and damages the vegetation types and the lives of the animals.
Particulate matter- Air pollutants can be in the form of particulate matter can be very harmful for health. There are short-term effects as
well as long-term effects of the pollution. The short-term effects include the irritation of the eyes, throat as well as nose. It includes the
respiratory infections like the bronchitis; pneumonia Allergic reactions, headaches and nausea are the the diseases which occur due to the
particulate matters. The long-term health effects include the heart disease, lung cancer and other chronic respiratory diseases. The people can
also suffer from brain damage, kidneys damage and the liver damage.

ii. Project success measure
The environmental management plan should explain how the proposal’s potential impacts will be managed and this approach forms the
bulk of the plan contents. The potential impact of the environmental management plan should take into account the following aspects-
 Environmental management activities, performance targets and controls
 Maps and Diagrams related to environmental management
 Monitoring of programs with trigger values for accurate actions
 Accurate actions and the non-compliance performance actions
 All the environment control schedules
The project management team demonstrate the actions on all these topics for one potential impact at any instance of time. This approach
ensures that all the management measures for every potential impact are in the same category of the document and they are easy to guess and
locate.
The environmental management plan should define all the activities related along with the control measures such that those can be
implemented effectively to mitigate all the issues raised properly implement the control measures. The project management measures must be
defined appropriately and in this way they can be able to achieve the best outcome from the project. The measures will help to maintain

sustainability in the environment. The environmental measures timing has been elaborated and presented in the form of table. The targets and the
outcomes of the project must be quantitative as well as auditable.
Acidification, eutrophication and particulate matters cause great harm to the environment. The air pollution can be checked by lessening
the air pollution of automobile. The air pollution can be reduced by saving energy. The individuals must use the eco-friendly products in the
home. One should not smoke inside the home. The individuals must plant trees, and must keep air-cleaning houseplants. Again the individuals
must take a good care of the fireplace. They must focus one the recycling and purchasing recycled products. The project plan will contain the
awareness programs and it will help the project stakeholders to direct the individuals to use the important measures effectively. Again, the
people with the aid of the awareness program can know how they maintain sustainability of the environment.
iii. Develop a contingency plan
The acidification can be prevented and can be mitigates by taking appropriate measures. The acidification generally occurs due to the
human pollution. The ocean acidification is one such instance which occurs due to excessive emissions of the carbon dioxide. The acidification
can be prevented by consuming less read meat. They must save electricity and water. Coal-fuelled power plant can be changed to the natural gas
and they emit half of the greenhouse gases coal when it is burnt. The school students must spread the awareness and everyone should listen to
the students to get the best outcome.

h. Determining activities, suppliers or services that need to be contracted out
The suppliers can be contracted out for this project. The environmental impact of the supply chain can be significantly reduced by
carrying out the detailed review of the resource efficiency required for the business in the chain. The suppliers should follow the certain
methodologies of continual improvement. The suppliers must have the key performance indicators to measure as well as monitor the
improvements. The policies need to be followed all the time and this can aid in reducing wastes. The benefits are-

i. Determining criteria for selecting suppliers to the project
The project manager is responsible to prepare the project plan. He is also responsible to allocate resources for the project. He will allocate
project suppliers for the project. The suppliers are bound to follow the policies and must work accordingly. The suppliers must be skilled enough
to deliver their best. They must work on the project deliverables and should deliver their best. Their jobe role will be the following-
 They need to ask on the basis of a pre-survey questionnaire
 The supplier must conduct site survey like the trained auditor from the business

j. Determining and justifying the type of project contract
The project contract is absolute necessity. Both the clients and the business school must be abiding by the project contract. The project
contract will be built based on the project plan. The project contract is developed between the project developers and the construction trade
unions. The project manager will follow the project contract and will carry on with the project. The clients on the other hand are bond to follow
the norms of the contracts and cannot violate the rules. If the client wants some modifications then they can request for it.
k. Justification of Organisational Capacity to undertake the project
All the schools that are located in Koala city will participate in the program. Their aim is to further enhance the reputation for the
environment leadership. The stakeholders who will work for the project are the students, schools, academic staff and the public. The project
manager will judge the strength of the stakeholders and will analyse their skills and potential. Only the ones who are competent enough will be
chosen for the project.

The success of the project can be measured by several means. It is vital to imply some good measures whether the project is being carried
out appropriately or not. The youths must be educated and in this way a better platform and a better environment can be setup. The youths must
be educated with the basic environmental knowledge at first and then they must be imparted professional as well as practical knowledge. The
activities conducted after every activities let them to understand the students. The approach will increase competencies and the youth will get a
platform through better environmental platform. Communication must be established between the students and teachers and it will help the
students to acknowledge the activities they need to conduct.
