INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity is essential part of business as this will lead to have provide fair
and equal opportunities to employees. It is crucial for company to create equal and fair working
environment as this will lead to motivate employees (Ahmed Dine Rabeh, Jimenez-Jimenez and
Martínez-Costa, 2013). Equality and diverse culture in business will lead to enhance
performance and productivity. This report is based on Eggfree cake box company. This is a
medium size company which is providing its high quality products and services in UK market
area. This company was developed in year 2009. This report will include information regarding
concept of equality and diversity in organisation. It consist of project management plan as well
as work breakdown structure and Gantt chart. In this, different research method and data
collection tools are determined. Analysis of collected information is conducted as well as
recommendation are provided. Apart form this reflection on learning and performance is
determined.

Equality and diversity
It is essential for organisation to consider equality and diversity concept in business as it
will lead to have significant impact on business practices. Inequality and discrimination practices
is become one of the major issues that will affect the business operations and capabilities of
employees.

Through this graph information about different discrimination practices in organisation can
be determned It is crucial for organisation to develop and create different business strategies that
will assist in resolving issues related to equality and diversity.
P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources.
Project management plan can be describe as the systematic procedure for conducting
task as well as performing business activities in better manner. It is crucial for develop and create
effective and efficient plan in order to perform business activities and task in more significant

manner. There are different aspects of project management plan and this will support in creating
an effective plan for performing research activities in correct and accurate manner (Annanperä
Liukkunen and Markkula, 2016). There are several elements of project management plan which
will lead to that is significant impact on execution, monitoring as well as controlling of research
activities. Different aspects of project management plan are mention below -
Cost – This refer as the amount that will be required by researcher for conducting and
performing research activities. It is crucial for researcher to identify and determine the
overall cost or funds that will be required by researcher for carrying out research
activities. Cost that will be needed for performing this researcher project activities
includes £ 250. In this, investigator will use different tools and technology for performing
research task, internet charges, laptop cost and other necessary items will be required for
carrying out research. So, £ 250 amount will be sufficient for researcher for performing
research activities in more accurate and appropriate manner.
Scope – The scope of the research is to determine the different elements which are
related to equality and diversity. Through the activities of this research, investigator will
be able to determine impact of equality and diversity on business as well as different
challenges while promoting equality and diversity aspects.
Time – This can be describe as the time frame that will be required by researcher for
carrying out research activities and timely implementation of these activities. It is crucial
for researcher to identify and determine the time period that will be needed by researcher
for carrying out all activities and successfully implement all task of research.
Quality – It is important for researcher to conduct high quality of researcher in order to
successfully gain desired goals and objectives. In this research activities, investigator
needs to collect data and information for different sources and analyse its in proper
manner in order to successfully perform research activities.
Communication – Communication process of this research needs to be systematic and
proper as this will assist in successful implementation of research activities (Bell and
Harrison, 2018). Investigator needs to communicate with different people in order to gain
better knowledge and understanding about the topic. This will help in collecting accurate
data as well as taking better decision for business.

Risk – This are various risk factors that will lead to have impact will performing
investigation activities and carrying. The major risk that are included in this research plan
includes ethical issues, external risk, data collection risk and many more.
Resources – It is crucial for researcher to have correct resources in order to carry on
investigation activities in correct manner. There will be different types of resources
required by investigator such as financial resources, employees and many more.
P3 Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frames and stages for
completion
It is important for organisation to determine and analyse the proper time that will be
required by researcher for carrying out business activities. In order to determine the proper time
frame for performing research activities in significant manner it is crucial to use work breakdown
structure and Gantt chart. This will assist researcher is successfully managing activities of
researcher and conduct activities in accurate manner.
Work breakdown structure
This is an effective tool or technique which will support researcher to carry out activities
in more accurate manner. Work breakdown structure is developed in order to provide support to
researcher so that all activities of research can be completed in right time (Brown, 2013). This
refer as the structure in which assist in simplifying all activities of investigation by dividing large
and complex projects into various parts. Work breakdown structure is in form of hierarchical tree
structure that will includes outlines of task. The purpose of creating work breakdown structure is
the reduce different issues or complication while performing research activities. Due to work
breakdown structure all complex and large projects activities could be timely performed. This
will help researcher in making project activities more measurable as well as accomplishment of
goals on set time. This will be beneficial for researcher for allocating task as well as reducing
efforts of researcher in order to significantly conduct required activities.
