ESSAY
Project management is process that involves planning, monitoring and executing a
program through clearly defining roles and responsibilities of each individual within organisation
so that particular task can be accomplished. There are various challenges and barrier in effective
implementation of project so manager need to continuous supervise various activities so that best
outcome can be gained. It is essay on project of upgrading technological system of organisation
so that customer’s requirements can be fulfilled within limited time and cost thus contributes in
growth and success of organisation. The main objective of project is to effective utilise available
resource and capabilities of firm so that maximum output can be gained from particular project.
Structure of project management of upgrading technologies system can be managed though
considering five stages such as:

Project initiation: It is the first stage where project management of firm evaluates the values,
cost involved in planning and executing particular project so that desired outcome can be
gathered. Therefore it is stage where performance and lifecycle of project is measured for
effective planning and implementation for growth and success of organisation. There are two
common tools that are used by manager to take decision regarding implementation of project or
not such as business case document, feasibility study (Farashah, Thomas and Blomquist, 2019).
Business case document tool is used by manager to find various benefits and importance of
project through use of document. On the other hand feasibility study is study of timeline, goals
and cost involved in project management so that accurate decision regarding updation of
technologies.
Project planning: After project manager has evaluated various benefits and cost involved in
technological development take decision and plan the way technologies system can be upgraded
within organisation. Project plan is in written form that explains about resource, finance, task
that need to be performed by each individual so that technological system can be upgraded
(Farashah, Thomas and Blomquist, 2019). Thus, it helps in effective communication between
employees, performance of task and activities as per predetermined goals. Project plan helps
team member to handle various obstacles, identify timeframe, cost that are involved while
implementing project.
