UK government can bring certain changes in the process of bringing betterment in the health and

system but these five changes can help in creating sustainability in the process. NHS take the
responsibility in improving the sustainable health and social care system in UK, there are five
change which will be beneficial in the process, these include:
Culture change: culture is one of the most important part in the improvement of sustainable
health and social care system as people are more connected with their culture which will be
beneficial for the government to target those culture who actively participate in the betterment of
the society (Grah, et.al., 2021). Every person belong to one different culture, these culture show
the ethical value of person. The behaviour of the person may be different form each other which
means they might think in diverse way to see the world. If the government try to target these
culture and ask them to promote sustainability in the local area and culture than they can improve
the healthcare. Every social and healthcare system is connected with diverse culture and these
culture drive the betterment. The government can bring change in culture by arranging
sustainability goal and mission statement, for example if government promote green mission
statements which highlight the importance of nature and aware people about the nature and
promote awareness in the culture then it can be beneficial. When the government try to find
those culture who are been weak among all other culture then they can bring change and improve
the health and social awareness. Promoting culture and helping them with medical and financial
help can be very beneficial in the development of better health and social care system.
Citizen centric change: after the impact of the COVID-19 people have become more health
conscious and started to improve their health (Guyon, et.al., 2017). This pandemic has taught the
world about the importance of sustainable health and social care, loss of life was high on the
scale. People now demanding better healthcare system to handle any next upcoming pandemic,
government have done various affords in the betterment but still some of the changes are
required in the process. For UK, they need to bring certain changes mainly in the citizen centric
policy where they ensure the senior citizen remain safe from medical and other expense. If the
government changes the policy of the senior citizen healthcare and make it more flexible, then it
will be beneficial in bringing sustainability in health and social care. When the government try to
improve the health and social life of senior citizen, they can improve the overall health and social

care system. It is very clear that old or elder people are backbone of every country, if there is
change required in the health care policy of the government, they need to make certain changes
to bring betterment in health and social care system. It is observed that elder citizen are more
connected with the culture so it can be beneficial to bring changes in culture as well.
Reduce waste change: reducing waste is one of the most beneficial element in the process of
bringing sustainability in health and social care system. Waste is the biggest problem that occur
in the process of promoting health for both human as well as nature, people and society need to
understand the importance of nature. Waste creates various problem mainly disturb the whole
cycle of the nature, which means many new virus and Bactria is been created with these waste.
There are certain types of waste such as human waste, non degradable waste, ocean waste,
pollution and clinic and hospital waste. These not only difficult to manage and decompose but
this also become challenging to get reduce of these. Some of the waste are very dangerous for
health and social environment as these mainly are hospital waste which need to be dumped with
proper process and procedures to completely destroy these waste. The biggest change
government need to bring is better the waste management system, if this change in is done
properly then government can improve the healthcare and social system of the country (Hussain,
et.al., 2018). To complete this change government can segregate streams of waste, this
segregation includes, certain types of waste and their level of harm to the nature which include
general waste, infectious waste, sharp and harmful waste and toxic waste which is very
dangerous in for the health of the people.
Eco-friendly and environmental change: it is very important for the world to adopt eco-
friendly products and promote eco friendliness in the betterment of health and social care. Every
country have been taking certain steps and precaution to promote eco-friendly, many campaigns
are been running to show the harm a plastic bag and non degradable item do to the nature (Leite,
Bateman and Radnor, 2020). Many hospitals and healthcare system can be better if they adopt
the green and eco friendly products and if they upgrade the efficiency of energy then they can be
better in the healthcare and social care system. Eco-friendly environment means manufacturing
of products which can be reused and disposable. Some of the company have completely adopted
eco-friendly products to promote natural and its importance. Government need to make certain
policy and rule for the manufacturing industry to use disposable material in their products and try
to avoid any use of chemical or material which can be dangerous for both human and nature. It is

very clear that if government bring the changes in the policy and procedures of the business who
deal in manufacturing and production, they need to strictly prohibit the use of non eco-friendly
products. Bringing eco-friendliness can be the biggest change which UK government can adapt
to bring sustainability in health and social care system.
Awareness change: awareness means promoting the importance of something, this term is
usually been used to promote some topic in the general public. Many government use various
campaign to aware people about the healthcare and social topic, awareness help government to
reach as many people as possible and send the message to the people (Pinzone, et.al., T2016).
This change in must required in the process of creating a sustainable health and social care
system, government need to promote the importance of nature in better life. Some of the
campaign of government have been actively working in the betterment of the society but after
the COVID-19 crisis people have become more health conscious and society is been forcing
government to promote health among the people. It is best for the government to encourage
people about the health and social care. Change in the policy of the industry who tend to use
harmful and dangerous chemical and creating a awareness about various toxic chemical can be
very beneficial, this help them to aware people who are not aware about the dangerous material
in the environment.

important factor in the world. In this report we have discussed sustainable development which
means organizing all the necessary requirement which is needed in the human goal which
highlight the importance of sustainability in society. Later we have discussed main objectives of
sustainable development which include economic safety, environment preservation, human
capital, social equity and justice. Later we have discussed sustainable development strategies
which include human sustainability, social sustainability, economic sustainability and
environment sustainability. The human sustainability highlight the human play vital role in the
development of sustainability as their activities impact the nature. Whereas social sustainability
include the social responsibility of human being towards the society. And all other sustainability
are been discussed in this report. Later in this report we have discussed sustainable development
strategies adopted by the government of UK. Later in this report we have discussed five changes

which can help in the betterment of health and social care system, these five changes include the
cultural changes which highlight that if culture is improved than the health will be improved.
Whereas second change was related to citizen centric recovery which means if government focus
to improve the healthcare of the senior citizen then they can improve the overall healthcare
system. Later we have discussed that if the government try to mange the waste which include the
waste disposal and management of toxic things then it will be the best change to create
sustainable health and social care system.
