This essay discusses the advantages and disadvantages of elearning and personal reflection. It explores the efficiency and affordability of elearning, as well as its ability to motivate shy students. INTRODUCTION
An E learning refers to type of learning that is delivered by a tutor to students through
digital sources. It is conducted through devices such as computer, tablet and mobile phones that
are connected to internet. In current era electronic mode is preferred to demeanour any
organizational activity as it will not only give you exposure of digital world but saves time of
users that enhances efficiency of work. It is important to adopt e-leaning to adapt changing
circumstances of world. It has become essential to accept digital resources to update knowledge
of changing surroundings. The present report will elaborate advantages and disadvantage of e-
learning and describes student experience of e-learning in the pandemic.

1. Advantages and disadvantages of e-learning from article
There are several benefits and drawbacks of e-learning that differs from experience of
person to person (Advantage and disadvantage of e-learning, 2021). From the article these are
identified merits and demerits which are mentioned below:
Advantages
Efficiency
The process of learning through digital sources have become very efficient because it
allows learner to get the lessons at any time, anywhere according to his feasibility which is not
possible in traditional learning. E- learning is the process in which learner can increase or
decrease speed of lecture, record lessons and focus individually even being in class of thousands
or more that gives the efficiency to students (Srivastava, 2019). It promotes students to be active
and independent as they can obtain study material without being dependent on tutor which
eventually increases efficiency of students to learn more.
Affordability
Web based learning is affordable to students due to lack financial resources which are
required. In addition to this e- learning allows students to sit at their convenient place and learn
which saves learners transportation cost that they had to bear in physical mode of class. It also
promotes students to save their time that learners can utilize in enhancing their skills which
promotes students interest to join classes (Belaya, 2020). It also saves funds of schools that it had

to spend in case of traditional mode of learning which motivates institutions to hire efficient tutor
that are friendly with digital learning that increases knowledge of students as well.
Motivates shy students
Web based learning enhances participation and involvement of students. With respect to
these learners who feel shy to speak up in class are able to share their thoughts regarding
respective subject matter in online class (Yuhanna, Alexander and Kachik, 2020). It not only
motivating learners to get more knowledge but also enhances enthusiasm of teacher to deliver his
experience to students. Additionally, it is important for students to get practical knowledge of
world which they can get from tutor's experience.
Disadvantages
Not appropriate for all
E- learning makes students to use digital devices that are not appropriate for all types of
students. With respect to this some people can feel depressed due to lack knowledge of features
of web based devices (Plump and LaRosa, 2017). In addition to this, it can not be appropriate for
all as there are several types of learners who might feel any health disease that can stop them to
attend online class. Additionally, learners may not concentrate properly because of more burden
on eyes, ears and brain due to radiation of electronic devices.
Technological issues
E-learning is fully based on technological devices as it is conducted through usage of
mobile phones, computer etc. There are several issues that students have to face due to lack of
knowledge of technology. Technology issues refers to low availability of network, data security,
etc. that demotivate learners to get in touch with electronic devices (Malik and Rana, 2020).
With respect to this, teachers in pandemic were not able to complete their syllabus due to issue of
network, echo problem, etc.
Lack of social interactions
Web based learning enables student to be in their comfort and provides feasibility which
make learners too independent. In regard to this, students become anti social and feel more
comfortable in non face to face interaction that loses learners confidence to speak in public.
Additionally, it also reduces their communicating skills which makes students unconscious.

2. Experience of e-learning
Covid 19 has given me opportunity to learn through a new mode which is e- learning that
helped me a lot to recognize my unknown skills. It gave various advantages that assist me to
explore the rapid changing circumstance. In my opinion it was a great opportunity to spend time
with family which I got after a long period. The online classes have saved my precious time that
I used to spend in travelling while going to school which provide me golden possibility to spend
quality time with my family members.
My personal experience of e-learning is very positive for my career and life as it has
enabled me to get in touch with my each family member. In respect to this, web based learning
has given the chance to study from anywhere that provide me opportunity to understand my
family that has made a good bond with my friends and family. Furthermore, studying from any
place has made me motivated and enthusiastic to learn new skills as it has also saved my time
from travelling to school. In my personal experience the pandemic situation with e-learning has
teach me to move ahead even if there is tough time. Further, it has positively impacted me with
various new skills and interest that I have never tried before this e-learning phase. I feel that it is
good to continue e-learning to have more time for other curriculum activities that are essential
for personal development as well as for practical exposure.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that e-learning is conducted with help of
internet and electronic devices. The present report also elaborates its various advantages like
efficiency, affordability and encouragement to learners. These advantages motivate students to
explore new interest area and have positive impact on life of students. The current report
describes demerits of web based learning which includes technological issues, lack of social
interaction and non suitable for all. In addition to this, report explains that students have their
own positive and negative impact of e-learning. The current study also shed light on positive
personal experience of student.
