With the outcome covid pandemic various challenges has been faced by the world. These has raised the mental
health issues among the frontline workers because of the over burden of work. As nurse is counted as one of the
major group of health professionals which played an important role towards the health emergency and
improvement of public health. With the due performance of work they had faced various issued related with anxiety
and over pressure of the work. This has raised the necessity to find out the ways and strategies by which the level of
anxiety would be reduced. This research will make focus towards the examining the anxiety level associated with the
nurses during the covid along with make focus towards the various strategies that is used for coping with the anxiety
level. A quantitative approach has been used in order to determine the outcome of the research.
Rationale:
With the outburst of covid pandemic a significant frequency of the healthcare workers has been suffered. They are
reached at the degree of highest risk under which they have been infected with the diseases along with the death of
large number of healthcare professionals. A large number of nurses have been moved in psychological turmoil which
has raised a need of intervention and determining the strategies by which the impact such psychological stress and
level of anxiety would be reduced.
Aims and expected outcome:
The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of coping strategies on anxiety levels of nurses during COVID-19
pandemic.
2.4 How will your research be conducted? (750 words max)

clearly explained.
In order to construct the research various quantitative approach in relation with the research has been chosen.
Along with the adoption of quantitative approach the numeric facts and figures in relation with the outcome and the
participated have been analysed. In the same way with the use of quantitative data the hypothesis in relation with
the research have been studied.
Demographic questionnaire, Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced Inventory
were used in the research. With the use of the concerned research tool i.e. focus towards the demographic
including the age, gender, marital status and other aspect were focussed. Likewise, it also make an inclusion of the
problem focussed, emotion focussed and avoidant focussed approach have been analysed and studied. This has
made the analysis of the concerned data in depth so that the best strategy associated with anxiety of the nurses
would be made analysed.
A total 404 participants have been included in the study with the sharing of online questionnaire link on email. A
prior permission or consent has been taken from the participants along with complying the privacy and
confidentiality norms. All the details regarding the research like the main aim, goal, and procedure of the research
have been disclosed in the email so that the participants would have all the required knowledge in relation with the
research.
The collected data have been through SPSS along with the application of various test in order to make a relationship
between the level of anxiety and coping strategy. With the use of SPSS the and the implication of test the
quantitative data have been made studied in the research.
All the ethical compliances have been made focus in the research including the compliance with the concerned act
and the aspect of the ethical consideration like the aspect of confidentiality and privacy.
