Introduction
The aim of this assignment is to receive the
grant from the Melbourne City Council for
the Universal Food Festival. The food
festival is being organized with an aim to
inspire the growing food talent in Australia.
The event will support thousands of home
cooks and amateur cooks, who want to

WHS & EVENT PLANNING
The Workplace Health and Safety is being ensured by-
•Crowd Management – This will be conducted as individuals have been appointed for
queue management at the entrance of the event. The event is designed with an
effective Wayfinding optimization.
•Resource Management – Since the event is a food festival the resource management
has to be of high standards, therefore different departments have been formed for the
dealing with issues related to the properties which are important for the organizers as
well as for the participants (Bachman, 2012).

•Risk Management – The event will
be designed with alternatives which
will help in risk avoidance, risk
transfer, risk retention, and risk
reduction, as the safety and health
of the participants and the
organizers are of utmost priority.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
An effective event can only be organized with an efficient staff
and volunteers. The paid staff and the volunteers will be hired
for the following objectives-
For promotions and marketing.
As a catering coordinator.
Anchors and stage managers.
For emergency services.
For checking tickets.
For information services.
For car parking assistance (PREDA & WATTS, 2003).

CONCEPT & MANAGEMET
The main concept, which is the main aim of this
event is to help and build a software which will
prevent the information violation of the
individuals from different sources, especially
hospitals. The organization and management of
the event are also being conducted by keeping in
mind this objective, thus the forms of the
participants were collected through emails and
the high information security standards have
been maintained (Mahadevan, 2018).

Cultural Consideration
The event has been organized with a focus
on collaborating with different cultures food
too. The collaboration will bring an
awareness of different culture’s food and
the stories associated with it. This will
encourage the respect towards different
cultures, through the knowledge which the
people will gain (Higgins-Desbiolles, 2018).

udget & Accountability
The event will be organized on a tight budget, as the
amount of money to be invested in different departments
is immense. The budget, which the event will need will be
around $400,000.
Food resources- Coles will be our food partner, so all the
resources will be provided from there at reasonable
prices, so the budget allocated to the food resources is
40%.
Design, Venue, and Ticketing- The budget allocated for
design, venue, and ticketing is around 20% of the total
budget (THOMSON, 2009).

Safety and Security- The safety of the public,
participants and the organizers is of
paramount, the budget dedicated to it is 15%,
of the whole budget.
Marketing and Publicity- The budget allocated
to the marketing and publicity activities is
around 15%.
Other- the rest of the money needed is for the
prizes which will constitute around 10% of the
budget.

The event will make a profit through the
number of sponsors, who will be associated
with the event. Also, the money earned by
means of ticket fees, registration fees and
security fees from the participants as well
as from the audience who will come to
enjoy the event. This will be compared with
the expenditure incurred in the event, will
help in evaluating the return on investment,
which will definitely provide with positive

Conclusion
This proposal is fulfilling all the
requirements of a public event and will be
conducted under the necessary legal
requirements too. The event facilitates
and encourages the amalgamation of
different cultures, all aiming to earn
profits which can be utilized to develop a
software to prevent information violation.
