Gantt chart
The function of this project management tool is to break the task into a series of small
assignments in an organized manner. The chart normally displays the time which the project
should start and the expected completion time. The framework is essential in understanding task
relationship, avoiding confusion, keeping everyone at par, and allocating the resource
effectively.

PART chat
A PERT chart is a system which organizes, schedule and coordinates each assignment as a node
in a project as a node. PERT defines a dependency between tasks (such as where the assignment
required each other before the work commences) is well established by the relationship the task

nodes. Also, it shows each task timing information. PERT chats resemble a critical path method
(CPM) which determines the project long path hence the shortest time the project can be done.
Managers can use this method to set timetable for completion of the project. Concentrate on a
task which is crucial for the critical path, determine the assignment that needs to minimize if the
time for the project is to be reduced (Heldman, 2018). Determine slack time where specific
assignments which are not among time critical considering project deadline and lastly identify
assignment that will be conducted simultaneously.

A Work Breakdown Structure refers to the breakdown of all necessary assignment to complete a
given project. The framework is organized in a hierarchy and developed to help for clear and
logical groupings considering either by deliverables or activities (Kerzner, 2018). The WBS
reflects tasks recognized in the approved Project Scope Statement and acts as a blueprint for the
development of effective schedule and cost estimating. Essentially, Project managers will
construct a WBS and accompany by WBS Dictionary which defines WBS components.

Use of critical path
CPM allows one to calculate critical path which shows the necessary order of assignments in a
project, schedule of the project, resource needed as well as challenges and possible solution. It
identifies the important stages where delays may likely to hinder the projects progress or where
the additional resource can increase the rate of completion (Heldman, 2018). CPM is used for

scheduling, to identify the process, steps, and duration of the project. It is also to keep track of
assignment in a multifaceted project with resource and task that are interrelated.

Project charter- this includes s high-level schedule of a project, high-level constrain and
assumption and necessities of the project.
Statement of work (SoW). This document reflects project-specific activities, timelines, and
deliverables
Project brief- the document gives a brief description outlining primary objectives, success
metrics, budget and resources, deliverables, communication with stakeholders, deliverables, and
quality assurance among other essential milestones.

Their many risks that can affect the progress of the work, therefore, planning for it is important
so that it can be mitigated. Mitigating calls for risk planning which tend to explore potential risk,
analyses and propose a solution in case it occurs. If done efficiently, the success of the project
can be guaranteed. But if it is an uncontrollable risk, proper, feasible strategies can be developed
to minimize its effects.
The risk identification process involves brainstorming whereby expertise brainstorm to identify
expected and unconscious risks. Another method is document review whereby valuable
document like Sow, Project execution plan, Project benefits projection and so forth are analyzed
to extract risk associated with them.
