This experience plan focuses on using picture books to engage children in writing activities and enhance their narrative skills and vocabulary. The plan includes worksheets, crayons, and composition using picture books. The rationale for this activity is that picture books help children analyze stories and improve their language skills. The plan aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) principle of working in partnership with students to develop writing skills. The learning outcomes include writing narratives using pictures and demonstrating excellent writing skills and rich vocabulary. The plan also relates to EYLF outcome 4.0, which emphasizes children's confidence in learning and their active engagement in hands-on investigations. Teaching strategies include coloring worksheets and narrating understanding based on pictures. The plan promotes educator learning by fostering children's connection with and contribution to their world. The evaluation focuses on children's progression in writing skills and the impact of the planning on their achievement. A follow-up activity involves coloring pictures and narrating understanding of the three little bears.

1. Title of experience – Writing teaching resources
Story book pictures can be extremely helpful for children to develop their writing skills. Fairy tale
story pictures like pictures of “three little bears” can be shown to the student and students will
have to write a paragraph on their own. Questions like “Why does the three little pigs look very
fearful .Several questions can be constructed such that all the contexts of the story are covered.
Blank’s conceptualization of language is the applicable across all the ages. Blank has
identified certain levels of language extraction –Level 1 (Matching perception). This allows the
student to map directly on what they see. The level 2 involves the selective analysis of the
perception that requires the children to resist their global perception and respond selectively to
the different features of the situation, like the size, shape, color and the function. The level 4
involves, reasoning about perception that deals with demands, the children think about what
might have happened to the materials.

and ensuring the plan meets both the capabilities, interests and cultural contexts of the child
Many picture books are constructed with high level of the pictures that can become difficult for
the children to comprehend. But simple pictures helps the student to give their own narrative
review of the stories. The illustrations of the picture books helps the children to analyse the story.
Whenever, the children will have difficulty, the pictures would help them to figure it out. The
rationale for choosing this activity is that the picture books allow the children to deal with the
sounds of language and it is the duty of the educator to introduce new and interesting words at
every occasion, so that the vocabulary of the children increases.

The following activity can be linked directly to the ELYF outcome 4.0, which states that children
are confident learners. The learning outcome states that the children can develop an
understanding of themselves and their world by the active, hands on investigation. It helps in the
engagement of the learning that can be recognized as deep focus and concentration on anything
that captures their interests.
A list of the teaching strategies identifying how you will help the child meet each of the learning
outcomes you have planned
 Before writing the narratives about the three little pigs. Children will be provided with a
worksheet, where children will have to colour the empty spaces in the drawing of the
three little pigs. Children love art and crafts and therefore they spend so much time in
colouring, drawing or doing the crafts.
 A worksheet was delivered to the students containing a picture of the “three little bears’,
where the students will initially asked to colour the pictures, then would narrate their
own understanding in space provided below the pictures. Merit cards can be given to
those students who will receive about 25 points in a score of 30.
