INTRODUCTION This report is based on the several challenges that are being faced by graduates in order to meet the expectation with the help of variety of skills which are demonstrated. Skills help in increasing the knowledge base of employees and prepare them for taking new challenges in workplace (Belwal, Priyadarshi and Al Fazari, 2017). It also covers various ways that students could prepare themselves for contributing an excellent academic performance. This report also comprises of several challenges played by millennials that affect the business in UK and has a major impact on an economy. Challenges faced by employees in meeting the needs and expectations of employers and several ways that students could perform better in their career Success play a very important role in an organisation as everyone whether students or employees want this so as to enhance their career growth and thus provides a better future. Skills, attribute and knowledge is essential for employees as it provide vast opportunities and also inculcate an appropriate job position in an organisation (Clarke, 2018). Today in a digital era, employees should be aware of several technical skills, should have efficient knowledge of current affairs as it helps in providing a greater prospective and should have learning skills as this meet the several needs of employability. Another aspect is that excellent communication skills with proper body language is necessary as it would ensure greater success in future. Along with this, employees must have problem solving skills and time management so that it could help an organisation in accomplishment of task in a short span of time. Furthermore, employees should develop proper planning and organising by maintaining a time table and stick toward it provide assistance in taking a taking an appropriate decision and meeting the deadlines of a project. Management of proper time help in ensuring a proper work life balance ensure a great path of success in a career. It is very important that an employee should have sense of team spirit which involve taking responsibilities and delegating as it helps in achievement of task in a proper period of time. Another skill that employee should have is calmness and confidence skills so that they could work under pressure that help in brining a proper balance in life. There are several ways that students could achieve a great in their career by avoiding stress and tensions (Jackson and Collings, 2018). The most important skills are setting of goal by managing their time through developing time table or to do list as it helps in providing a great 1
career growth. Another effective way to achieve a career growth is to avoid procrastination as this would help a lot and help in achieving their task in a respective time period. Proper balanced diet and physical exercise also aids in eliminating stress and boost their career with confidence and determination (Silva and et.al., 2016). Additionally, playing mental games like chess and listening music provide a great environment and it also develop confidence and ability to take decisions and help in preparing them for future. Reading good books and spending time with good people help in developing positive attitude and bring a great success towards their career. Excellent communication skills is very essential among the learners because it help in avoiding confusion and misunderstanding among them and also it help in solving several problems in their life. They should be properly trained with varied skills such as technical skills as it boosts their career and also provide vast opportunities in their life. Another most important skills that graduates should have is problem solving skills as it would help an organisation to take a new and innovative decisions and therefore ensure an excellent academic performance. In addition to this, they should be familiar of technology and capable of handling machines which ensure a greater path towards their career. Lack of maturity is considered as a major downfall in a career as they would not be able to get their dream job and also decline their overall growth, so it is essential that graduates should have enough working experience and trained with little work experience as this provide an enormous opportunities in getting a best job and leads a successful career (Sin and Amaral, 2017). A level of patience, team spirit and problem solving skills play a major role in a today’s era because it help in fulfilment of taskinapredeterminedmannerandhelpinavoidingconfusionandmisunderstandings. Therefore, these aspects and challenges help both graduates and students in meeting the several expectations of employability and thus boost their career with confidence and also help in achieving of individual and organisational objectives effectively and efficiently in short span of time. Discuss why millennials are affecting the business and its impact on an economy Millennials are described as the varied group of people in which Generation Y is regarded as the demographic cohort as they are following the generation X. in addition to this, they are marked as new generation with the coming era of new and advanced technology and use various social media platforms and so on (Jackson, 2017). One of the major challenges that are faced by millennials in a workplace is changes in technology as there is an advancement of technology in a business environment. Many of the companies in a modern era are looking for the work experience of minimum 3-5 years but due to no experience, they could find a lot of difficulties in their career. Due to diverse in culture, millennials would not get the required job in an organisation as they are forced to do that work to which they are not interested and as a result their talent is not utilised up to the mark (Jayasingam Fujiwara, and Thurasamy, 2018). This leads to greater dissatisfaction level of job and reduce their growth in a workplace. Also, there is a more generation gap as they have excellent technical skills but at the same time they lack confidence of soft skills in an organisation. Millennials has changed the business in UK through several ways as they bring a language and attitudes when they graduated from the university. According to a research, millennials has made up with 35% of business in UK as they are more socially engaged through various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and many more and also, they have raised their voices on topics such as right of gender equality in order to promote an equality everywhere in a workplace.In an era of globalisation,there are changesin thoughtsand preferencesof customers, advancement of technology and so on which provide a greater opportunity to the millennials to enhance the workforce and thus bring a greater success in an organisation. in relation to this, they provide a better environment through excellent communication skills and feedback which help in polishing their skills with great ideas and strength and thus provide a great career growth in an organisation. In UK, there is lack of career opportunities due to the reason that employees are not confidence towards their work so millennials bring transformation in a workplace by new and creative ideas and are ready to accept the changes as well as promoting the new culture. In addition to this, they are known by the name that is ‘Digital Natives’ in UK because they are highly influenced by the technology and push the employees in a workplace with a virtual reality and use of artificial intelligence so as to improve the overall productivity and performance at a workplace (Lim and et.al., 2016). Millennials play a major role in shaping an economy as it provides a great shape of an economy and has a great impact on the market because they are driven by higher profits, efficient production and easy access of capital. As they provide new 3
growth in a career with best investment advice and innovative technology. Therefore, it provides an economic growth and vast opportunities in a workplace by taking the ability of risk. Hence, retaining the talented millennial provide an enormous opportunity to a business to grow and lead to critical future success in an organisation. They always focus on new and innovative things so that they could bring a better advancement towards an economy and help to cope up with changes that has been taken place in an organisation. Therefore, millennials not just only contribute in an world of work but also at the economy through making best use of technologies and their innovative ideas. CONCLUSION From the above information it can be summarised that skills play an important role in the overall personality development of learners and employees through several tactics such as proper planning, excellent communication skills and time management which ensure a greater success in their career path. It has been analysed that millennials play an essential role in shaping an economy with the use of advanced technology and their creative mindset and also they are ready to accept the changes in a dynamic environment without hesitation. 4
