AI Summary
This report provides a critical analysis of strategies for facilitating effective learning, specifically tailored for student nurses. It examines the application of learning theories, including Behaviorism and Cognitivism, to enhance the learning experience and address challenges in healthcare education. The report emphasizes the importance of well-planned induction processes and understanding the 6Cs of nursing (Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment) to improve the quality of care. Furthermore, the report discusses the significance of teacher support, activity-based learning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to create a conducive learning environment. The analysis also incorporates Kolb's and Honey and Mumford's learning theories to promote effective learning styles. The conclusion highlights the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and the importance of adapting teaching methods to ensure student success.

INTRODUCTION
The current easy writing is based on planning made to facilitate effective learning for a
learner or group of learner in order to enhance and boost their learning. Use and analysis of a
number of theory like Behaviourism and cognitivism is made to ensure better learning for new
student nurses who were used to work as healthcare assistant previously (Wihlborg, Friberg,
Rose, and Eastham, 2018). Beside this, a discussion about 6C’s nursing value is also made along
with other vital aspects to facilitate improved learning and practises.
Main Body
It has been seen that learning and teaching forms out to be a vital part of every health care
and medical institution but the recent global pandemic has created many challenges and issues in
facilitating proper learning. The risk of spreading of infection and sudden increase in number of
patient has also created many difficulties and issues in learning and practises of healthcare. Thus,
as a facilitator of practices a formal learning plan has been prepared to effectively support the
learning and practises of new student nurses along with facilitating and creating a balance
between protecting students from COVID-19 and creating an effective learning experience.
The first and foremost step required to have and facilitate effective learning comprises of
having proper welcome od new student nurses by the way of well-planned and structured
induction process (Hwang, and et. al., 2018). Implication of a well-planned induction process
ensures an improved engagement with the students and also incumbents and make them aware
about the institutional and learning polices, process, practises and activities that would be used to
enhance and boost their learning experience. Beside this, facilitating understanding about the
6C’s nursing value in linked with NMC act is also vital and important. In 2019, the National
Medical Commission act has been billed as biggest reform in medical profession to ensure
quality medical care more accessible for the patient according to which implication and proper
utilisation of 6C’s of nursing value become must. Thus, an understanding about the 6C’s of
nursing value which consists of Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and
Commitment has become vital and essential for all nursing students. Implication of these 6C’s
ensure improved quality of care and higher commitment and compassion level to ensure
improved practises of enhanced learning in all nurses and medical students which support
improved healthcare facilities (Clark, 2018).

In order to enhance the learning of student, it is very important to better support teachers
and hold them accountable to assist students progress as well as ensuring that the job is getting
done effectively. At the time of providing learning, it is very important for teachers to develop a
culture of responsibility and trust and set high standards so that better learning can be facilitate.
The scope of planned and facilitated learning is very huge as it assists in providing learners with
the opportunity to learn effectively. The main teaching objective that must be followed while
facilitating is "to facilitate learning for learners to enhance their learning in an effective way
within three months." Accomplishment of this objective results in to improved learning of the
student. It is the responsibility of teacher to delegate tasks and responsibilities safely and
effectively to the students so that they are better able to learn (Moon, and Brockway, 2019).
Apart from this, the activity-based experimental learning must be encouraged so that it
will allow students to come up with diverse ideas and conclusions. This enable them to think
independently in order to reach to the effective Idea or solution. Moreover, it is very important to
collaborate with placement supervisors, colleagues, head of the department, placement assessors
and University so that high quality learning can be acquire. David Kolb learning theory play a
significant role in the process of learning. As per this theory, knowledge is developed through
experience transformation. The experimental learning cycle consists of 4 stages including
concrete experience, reflecting on the experience, learning from the experience and active
experimentation (Duchesne, and McMaugh, 2018). Execution of all these four phases of cycle
will help in ensuring effective learning. There are four learning styles stated in Honey and
Mumford learning theory including activist, theorist, pragmatists and reflectors. In this model, a
questionnaire is given which probes general behavioural tendencies of people. With the
application of this model, learners will be able to know about the learning processes so that
smarter decisions can be taken and learning skills and awareness can be improved.
A number of learning theories are analysed which are vital and plays important role in
facilitating improved learning for a learner by the way of boosting their understanding level.
Implication of Behaviourism or Behavioural learning theory facilitates an effective way to
understand that how a student learn thus, facilitates an improved interaction to support the
learning pattern and understanding level of students (Clark, 2018). Thus, use of Behaviourism
theory facilitates improved learning in a student through objectively observing the behaviour of
student to increase learning and decrease distraction for student’s behaviour. Further,

Behaviourism theory also facilitates better evaluation of performance of student and develop a
tracking system to intervene and solve all problem which arise during the learning process.
Beside this, application of Cognitive learning theory is also a vital and effective way to facilitate
improved learning through leading a passive form of teaching (Wihlborg, Friberg, Rose, and
Eastham, 2018). Use of Cognitivism theory of learning is vital to boosting learning process as it
helps in exploring better understanding in students by the way of effective discussion and also
uses visualizations to improve students' understanding and recall.
CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned report, it has been concluded that teaching and learning are
important part of an institution but there are several challenges facing by the institutions as well
as students due to spread of coronavirus pandemic. Facilitating effective learning involves well-
planned process that help in engaging students in the learning activity. The 6 c's of nursing value
help in improving the quality of care and commitment level of students. Execution of theories
like behavioural learning theory and cognitive learning theory help in improving the learning
process.
