Farm Shop App Design Concepts: Alternative 1 vs. Alternative 2

This document presents two design concepts for a farm shop application, Alternative 1 and Alternative 2. Each alternative is analyzed in terms of its user interface components, objectives, user facilities, and adherence to usability heuristics. The document concludes with a recommendation for Alternative 2 based on its superior design features, including a more attractive and interactive GUI, enhanced functionality, and a fixed header/footer for improved navigation.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to get enter or
login the user into the farm shop application.
 Used components - The screen 1 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, label and various different symbols like : home, cart,
share, share and few more.
 User facility –
1. The login option can be used by the user to use the application.
2. Also, forgot password facility can also be used by the user in case
he forgot his password.
3. And sign up can also be done on this page.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to get register on
the application by providing some necessary information.
 Used components - The screen 2 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, label, rectangle and various different symbols like :
home, cart, share, and few more.
 User facility –
1. The sign up option can be used by the user to register on the
application.
2. Also, user can login if already registered on the application.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to set the
password again in case of user forget his password.
 Used components - The screen 3 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, circle, label, rectangle and various different symbols
like : home, cart, share, and few more.
 User facility –
1. The user can reset his password by clicking on forgot password.
2. User has to enter mobile number or email for the verification
purpose and to get OTP on that.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to provide overall
functionality and relation with the page and giving all the features on
this page. So it is the home page of the application.
 Used components - The screen 4 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, circle, label, rectangle and various different symbols
like : home, cart, share, caret left and right, and few more.
 User facility –
1. This page provides all the services available on the application into
various categories.
2. The offer slider is given to highlight the special offers given on the
application.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to proceed for
purchasing the product as it is the my cart page.
 Used components - The screen 5 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, circle, label, rectangle and various different symbols
like : home, cart, share, caret left and right, and few more.
 User facility –
1. The page is the cart of the application helps to buy the product from
the application.
2. The user can add any product to cart and changes it quantity as per
the requirement and can buy the product.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to proceed for
searching any product on the application.
 Used components - The screen 6 components are image, horizontal
ruler, button, circle, label, rectangle and various different symbols

1. User can search any product as per his choice directly on this page.
2. If product will be available then it will display it otherwise, not
available will be displayed.

page.
2. The product quantity can be set here.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to manage the
user profile.
 Used components - The screen 8 components are image, horizontal
ruler, label, various different symbols like : home, cart, search,
smiley, and few more.
 User facility –
1. The profile can be manage by the user on this page.
2. A user can manage setting of the page and any other thing from
here.

into the shop application.
 Used components - The screen 1 components are image, horizontal ruler,
button, label, circle and various different symbols like : home, cart, share,
message, key, information, Facebook, google and few more.
 User facility –
1. The login option can be used by the user to use the application.
2. Also, forgot password facility can also be used by the user in case he forgot
his password.
3. And sign up can also be done on this page.
4. A user can login using Facebook and Google also.
5. Also, user can skip login and proceed on application.

application.
2. Also, user can login if already registered on the application.
3. User can also register using Facebook google.
4. Also, user can use application without register on it.

 Objective- The main objective of the current page is to manage the
user profile.
 Used components - The screen 8 components are image, horizontal
ruler, label, various different symbols like : home, cart, search,
smiley, information, notification and few more.
 User facility –
1. The profile can be manage by the user on this page.
2. A user can manage setting of the page and any other thing from
here.
3. More options are given to manage orders, wish list, help, settings
and so many.

Alternative 1 Heuristics principles
 The heuristics principles of the design of alternative 1 are :-
1. The time to load the page depends on the speed of the internet and
interface. So it quite fast and easy.
2. Handling of errors is very fast and accessible. Application is much
powerful to handle all the errors.
3. There is very fast and quick navigation on all the pages. And the
interface is very easy and so much user friendly.
4. Redirection speed to load the pages and to connect them is very fast.
5. User can write any type of query to get the feedback on the
application and help from the application.

Alternative 2 Heuristics principles
 The heuristics principles of the design of alternative 2 are :-
1. The application alternative 2 is much more attractive as more colors
combinations and functions are added in it.
2. The application alternative 2 is much more flexible and compatible
with the various devices.
3. The redirection and loading time of various pages will be more than
that of alternative 1 due to high interface and functions.
4. The more advanced documentation of the application alternative 2
makes it much reliable and fast.
5. The linking and navigation to all the pages is much more better with
high reliability and good connections.

Recommendations
I strongly recommend alternative 2 over alternative 1 due to following reasons:
A. The alignment of the body is more defined and arrangements are more
specific sorted, and up to the mark. More addition features like notification,
information page is being added to all the pages in alternative 2.
B. There are lots of login option and sign up options on the application. Like user
can make manual entry, entry with Facebook or entry with google in the
application.
C. The GUI of the alternative 2 is very attractive and interactive. As in alternative
2 the more combination of colors are added to make it look good. While there
was only white black combination was there in alternative 1.
D. There are many more additional features and functionality in alternative 2 are
there. Like in alternative 2 there are more labels, components, and symbols
are used.

Recommendations(Contd.)
E. There is the fixed header and footer section is given on the design of
alternative 2 which covers almost every functionality related to the
application. This makes navigation more easier.
F. There are more number of categories available on the home page of
alternative 2. Searching option and a notification slider is also given
additionally in order to enhance the application.
