Fibre fashion is a clothing brand within the field of clothing industry that offers the
customers daily with various forms of clothing that specialize in women apparel. Fibre
fashion is typically a boutique that operates in and around the whole of Melbourne for more
than a count of 20 years now. In the field of boutiques, the company has risen to the top with
the materials and the exaggerating colours. This makes usage of within the various clothes
that it offers to the customers along with entertains improvisation from the customer's end.
The company primarily acts as a representative of differently existing brands and maintains
the records daily in sheets (Kouziokas, 2016). However, with all the success in hand, the
company has been identified to be using some backdated procedures. It might pose a greater
threat towards the business that is at hand and allows the competitors to rise above. As a
reason, this discussion has been undertaken to design a new Management Information System
(MIS) that will help the company to eliminate the outdated procedures and allow the IS to
carry out the same work with greater efficiency and proficiency towards achieving of better
results leading towards a potential growth within the business.
2. Background:
The fibre fashion company has been serving all of its customers with products in the
form of clothes for a period of 20 years now. In addition to this, the company represents
various brands that have a shared existence within the same field of business serving
customers with the same motive to be exact (Kalabokidis et al., 2016). All the data of the
companies it represents and the information that belongs to the customers it serves on a daily
basis on a product that it purchased recently as well as the important information in
spreadsheets. The sales also find their way to be recorded with spreadsheets that has been
visibly identified to be outdated associated with a number of risks such as losing of data due

to corruption of the software. As a reason, the company needs to eliminate all such manual
procedures to save time and the threat of data loss with a Management Information System
(MIS) that shall be designed for the company (Amuna, Shobaki & Naser, 2017). The MIS
will greatly act as a primary contributor towards bringing in greater efficiency within the
daily business procedures of the company.
Research question:
How can the MIS improve the business of Fibre Fashion on a daily basis?
3. Literature Review:
According to Zhang (2016), Management Information Systems (MIS) refer to that
specific system of information that primarily used for the purpose of decision-making as well
as for bringing in coordination, visualization and coordination along with control over all the
information that is present at hand to respective enterprise within the field of business.
Studies and relative implementation of the MIS refers to the common procedure of testing the
people, technology as well as processes that have the shared existence within a specific
organization. In regards to a corporate setting, the primary objective of a management
information system is to bring an increase within the value as well as the profits that have a
direct association with the business (Land, 2018). This carried out by provisioning the
existing managers of the respective business organizations with the timely as well as the
appropriate form of information for allowing them to get hold of decisions that shall have a
greater effect upon the business proceedings within a short span of time. Hence, the MIS
shall typically eliminate the outdated features and methods of the company for providing
them with ultimate efficiency among various forms of businesses.

management information system, the most important activity is to specifically identify the
