This task comprised of five assignments – assignment 1 to 5. However, the core study
application got required in tasks 2 to 5.
Task 2
I identified Harvey and Norman as my study case for this task. In this case, I assumed the
role of an Information Security Manager. Afterward, I used my position to solicit information on
the case study organization’s:
- Vision and Values
- Corporate Strategy and Governance
- Organizational Structure and Stakeholders
- Operations and Infrastructure (both technical and physical)
- Market Standing (like competition and shares among others)
The gained information on the outlined areas of study was then used to formulate the base for
task 3 on the identification of assets. The same was used classify the identified assets and
associated risks both on the operations of the organization and the assets. From the risks
identified, a critical analysis followed. After which, a risk mitigation plan likely to be
implemented was developed.
