5. Executive summary
The research tends to investigate the impact of employee attrition on business growth of Infosys
Ltd. Employees play a significant role for the business organizations and ushers success through
their continuous hard work and effort. It is necessary for the business organizations take care of
their employees so that they can retain them and use their skills and experience to the best of
their ability and take the organization forward by consistent and continuous growth. However,
not all employees within a company is satisfied due to some or the other reasons that results in
attrition. For Infosys Ltd, employee attrition is noticed that is affecting the growth of the
business. This research is will be conducted with the purpose of investigating the impact of
employee attrition and how it is affecting Infosys Ltd in terms of their business growth.

6. Introduction
Employee attrition or employee turnover is a significant concern for business
organizations irrespective of industry or sector. Due to this phenomenon, the business
organizations lose their skilled, qualified and experienced employees to the competitors. The gap
created due to employee attrition is harmful and replacing it required additional resources that
even lack surety of being successful in the long term. Similar is the case of Infosys Ltd where
employee attrition has become an emerging concern. Infosys is an Indian multinational
corporation operating in sectors such as business consulting, information technology and
outsourcing services.
7. Research Objective
7.1 Rationale
This research is rationalized as this will help in determining the impact of employee
attrition rate on the growth of business. Employees are the key pillars of any business
organizations whose hard work and effort takes the business forward. Employee attrition for
Infosys Ltd is a severe concern due to which employees are leaving the organization and the
Infosys Ltd is unable to replace it on time. The research intends to find out the potential reasons
from the employees of Infosys what is causing them to leave the organization irrespective of
being well-known IT Company globally. Undertaking the research will help in identifying the
potential reasons that have led to the phenomenon of employee attrition in Infosys Ltd.
Identifying the reasons will help in finding the impact followed by suggesting potential ways of
overcoming the challenge and support the business growth of Infosys Ltd.

7.2 Research Plan
The research will be developed based on six different chapters that are developed
chronologically. The chapters for developing the research are introduction, literature review,
research methodology, data analysis, discussions, conclusion and recommendations. Each of the
chapters is significant as they possess unique characteristics that help in shaping up the entire
work suitably.
7.3 Benefits of research
This research will be beneficial because undertaking the research will help in finding
ways of curbing with the problem of employee attrition and improving business growth. Growth
in business is mandatory because this ensures profit maximization and revenue generation by
expanding the business and gaining competitive advantage. This research will be beneficial
because the research will help in identifying the primary reasons of employee attrition in Infosys
and investigating the techniques those can be used for mitigating employee attrition and
supporting growth in business.
7.4 Research innovation
The research innovation highlights the probability of the research to find the potential
reasons that have triggered employees to leave the organization in spite of being working in one
of the topmost IT companies globally. Identifying the issues will help in findings potential ways
of overcoming the challenges so that such phenomenon can be restricted and employees are
retained that in turn can promote and contribute towards business growth.
