INTRODUCTION
Leadership plays a vital role in the company as it provide motivation to employees to
work effectively. Leadership skills is important for leaders to influence and guide followers and
other people within the team so that team work can be done effectively. An effective leader can
influence positively their employees and maximize the efforts of other people so that they can
accomplish goals and achieve success easily. The present report will be based on footwear
retailer fitflop, this company has personalized its well-being and health strategy by creating its
own programme for the benefit of customers. The present report will be based on role of
leadership that exist in the company Fitflop. In addition to this, the study will give detailed
information about how the business structure and culture of the company may support effective
transitional change.

Explaining the role of leadership that may exist within fitflop and how the structure and culture
of the company may support effective transitional change.
Leadership skills is important for company's leaders and managers so that they can give
important information to staff members. By adopting leadership skills, leaders can motivate their
employees so that they can coordinate with each other to perform task together as a team. An
effective leader provide right direction and clear information to employees so that they can
accomplish their task on time. The leaders of fit flop is focus on celebrating and sharing the
progress towards achieving organizational goals, and they guide them to set new targets in order
to meet deadlines.
A good leader clearly defines where their team-mates is going and how to achieve targets
within time period (Guthrie and Jenkins, 2018). An effective leader should have problem solving
skills, communication skills, leadership skills and management skills. They should have
knowledge and experience about the subjects so that they can easily provide feedback to
employees. Moreover, after collecting feedback people will be able to make necessary changes
to gain career opportunity.
 The leaders of Fitflop believe in open communication as this is the key to successful
business. Human resources team of this company encourage employees by providing
them well-being benefits and educate employees on those benefits with the help of

leaders. They made important decision to get employees involved when the new and
effective programme was launched.
 The leaders of the company focus on the business strategy the feel good factor into its
benefits strategy for the betterment of employees (Fidyah and Setiawati, 2020). With the
help of leadership skills the leaders have created positive environment on its entire
workforce. The company has also launched its feel good programme which was praised
by each and every employees working.
 According to survey, taken post launch of this programme, more than 85% of people said
that they were totally engaged by this benefit as it has created internal communication
effectively between employees. The employees feel that the company genuinely cares
about the betterment of its workforce, which has created relationship between leaders and
employees. The leader and human resources team of fitflop says that when employees are
feeling happy and healthy they can create the positive and healthy environment at
workplace, and they inevitably are more productive and complete their work on time.
Transformational leadership- In this type of leadership style, a leaders works with
employees and teams in order to achieve goals and identify areas of improvement and make
necessary changes to it. They create a vision statement to guide the change through inspiration
and motivation theories (Golden III and Shriner, 2019). Leader of fitflop using transformational
style of leadership in order to push their employees and team to think about new ideas, product
line to satisfy the needs of customers. They provide commitment to employees about
achievement of objective and empower to fulfil those objective on time.

Organizational culture-
A positive organizational culture plays a vital role in the company so that employees and
top-level management team can work effectively and create relationship with each other.
Organizational culture is the expectations, collections of values and business practice that will
inform the actions and important guidelines of all employees.
A positive and healthy organizational culture support employees' involvement in
important decision-making process. It provides fun ways and positive coordination between
employees says the owner of fitflop. By adopting leadership skills, personal and professional
skills and professional development activities employees and leaders can create a healthy culture.
According to manager of fitflop, A positive organizational culture unifies employees and
promotes organized business structure and work, this enhances the people to work together for
common purpose.
Handy model of organization culture

According to Charles handy model of organization culture, every company has its own
values and follows some rules and regulations which differentiate it from others. The beliefs,
policies and values of the firm form its culture and it decides the way staff members interact with
each other as well as external parties such as government, agencies and stakeholders. It has been
noted that no two organization can have the similar culture and it is important for the staff
members' to adjust well in their culture to enjoy their projects and stay stress free to accomplish
goals.

Power culture- According to Charles handy model, there are some companies where the
power remains in the hands of only few candidates and only they are responsible to take
important decisions. Leaders of the company is one of them who enjoy special privileges at the
workplace and make most of the major decisions which is beneficial for the company. Here, they
delegate roles and responsibilities to the other staff members. In this type of culture, the
employees have no options but to follow their leaders or managers instructions strictly.
Sometime staff members do not have the liberty to share their point of view and express the
ideas. The mangers and leaders can be partial sometimes to someone which can demotivate other
people.

Task culture- In this type of culture, companies are formed to target and solve difficult
problems or issues. Here, all employees with common interest and experiences come together to
form a team and work together to accomplish those goals (Fidyah and Setiawati, 2020). Here,
every employee has to make equal efforts and contribute to achieve tasks goals in the most
effective and innovative way.
Person culture- There are different type of people working in the company and
sometimes few of them feel that they are more important than their company and task. Here,
people are more concerned about their own self and do not think about company's performance.
Due to this behaviour they sometimes suffer a lot and not able to achieve their goals. They never
get too attached and never be loyal towards their management team, this creates conflicts
between them.
Role culture- It is a culture where staff members of fitflop is delegated responsibilities
according to their educational qualification, interest, specialization and experience. In this type
of culture staff members of the company decide what best they can do to achieve goals and
accept the challenges.
In fitflop everyone is focused on their own task and take ownership of the work given to
them, this makes them successful. By following role and task culture, company is able to achieve
customer and employee satisfaction and has improved its performance in last few years.
Organization structure-
An organizational structure is system that highlights how business activities are directed
in the company in order to accomplish the targets and goals (7 types of organizational structure,
2022). These business activities can be responsibilities, roles and policies which must be taken
into consideration while making any informed decisions. Structure of business determines how
important ideas and information flows between different level in the firm.
Hierarchical organization structure- This business structure is basically used by
organized company- the chain of command goes from the top-level of management team (CEO,
directors, managers, leaders) to low level of management team (employees, workers, other team
members). The benefit of using this structure includes- it shows how the important information
goes to persons at different level so that management can be done effectively. With the help of
this structure, leaders motivates employees with clear career paths (Liu and et.al., 2019). Also,
can get a chance for promotion, and they can easily achieve success by completing task on time.

It will create good relationship between employees and leaders in the similar department. By
using this structure, leaders and top-level management team can better define level of
responsibilities and authority.

products or services (Qiao and et.al., 2020). They have received many awards and won the best

business structure and healthy organizational culture which may support effective transitional
change.

CONCLUSION
To conclude, leadership and management plays a vital role in the company, by using
leadership and management skills, leaders can motivate their employees to work towards goals.
By evaluating the report, it has been concluded that Fitflop focus on business structure and
organizational culture to meet goals of the firm. They have successfully achieved many awards
for customer satisfaction and employees job satisfaction. They have focused on a feel good
benefits strategy in order to make important decisions easier and provide clear information for its
employees. Furthermore, it has been evaluated that the company have provided guidance and
support to employees in financial difficulties and engage them towards targets.
