important concept which shows an ability to work with
the best out of ability in an organisation and build the
relationship between people (Ali, Yaseen and Ahmed,

Effective communication theories
An effective communication is one of the processes of
ideas, thoughts, information and knowledge so that the
intention or purpose must be fulfilled in the best possible
manner. In a simple term, the presentation of views is a
best way to be understood by the receiver. Some general
theories of the communication includes
 Adaptive structuration theory: The organizations
and group create resources and rules that define
structures. The theory suggest that the structural
quality affects the decision making process and
the decisions affected the businesses.
 Cognitive dissonance theory: This theory shows
the psychological conflicts which gives a result
from holding two contradictory or incompatible
beliefs and attitudes.
 Communication accommodation theory: It
describe when the people adjust their style of
communication. The changes in the non-verbal
and verbal style are done through two ways
divergence and convergence. Divergence is used
to highlight group identity through touting the
differences of the group they identify with.
Divergence is often used by groups with strong
ethnic or racial pride. Convergence is used more
often by powerless individuals for social approval
and focuses on matching the communication
styles of the person with whom they are speaking
to (Sampson, Kettunen and Vuorinen, 2020).

important factors because it includes facial

 Work on your posture: Positive and effective

standing strategies and sitting properly.
 The tone of voice: Low and soft spoken is very
important for the better and effective communication.
 Maintaining eye contact: The contact of two people
shows an active part of communication between each
other.
 No more interruption: refrain from all the interruption
and the person is speaking with each other shows a
huge respect with the person is saying.
 There must be no distractions: No distractions and
more effectiveness in the communication is the best
way of communication with each other.
 Participate in the public speaking: For giving many
speeches and reflective ideas, participating in the
debates helps in communication properly.
 Practice empathy: It simply states that there is a need
to have empathy and it shows that considering the
feelings of the person gives good communication
skills for the better acknowledgements and concerns
(Stein, and et. al., 2019).

because of demonstrating and appreciating the culture
of the people. It is an ability of experience, share, and
understanding of the cultural diversity in the world.

behavior, traditional and values can be shared and

relationship skills through the ability of correct
procedures for the businesses in different social
situations, and the reasons for different values and
beliefs. A lack of awareness can simply leads to the
poor decision. Cultural awareness helps in reduces the
chances of making the bad decision, and increases the
chances of more insightfulness and considerable
decisions.
