INTRODUCTION
Food service management come under the catering industry in which they prepare food
and supply to their consumers. They are the centre of operation in each kind of food service
setting. It is a creativity that offers food in scientifically and aesthetically to wide range of people
in cost effective manner along with satisfaction (Ruby and et. al., 2019). In order to explore all
term that are related with the food service management, a Rainforest cafe is selected. It is a
multinational unit which consist around six restaurants across whole world. Interior of this cafe
is designed like a exotic jungle which attract a large number of people as well as that recreates
the sights with Amazon rainforest. They offers spectacular dinning experience to their consumer
for enjoyment of drinks and foods. Further, this report covers the overview of food service,
various approaches of food chain and stakeholders. Additionally the principles of effective
procurement and sourcing is included. At the end, evaluation of different operation management
strategies and importance of ethical management for business success is covered.

The term food service refers to a business practice that makes, transfer and deliver
prepared meal to their consumers. The main purpose of this service is to form and supply the
palatable matter which are prepared under the benchmark of hygiene, sanitation and aesthetically
to guests at reasonable cost (Umberger and et. al., 2020). In context of chosen cafe, they delivers
various kind of mean and drinks to their consumers. In which the overview of different food
service context are as follows:
Casual dinning : It this approach full service is provided to consumers like laid
atmosphere, fun, comfortable at reasonable priced. In which the food service is consist in
between both fine dining and food dinning. It mortal relaxed as well as casual ambiance.
Themed food service: In this food the food service is designed on the basis of specific
them. For which restaurant are using various things so that they will able to attracts large number
of people by offering a memorable experience. In relevance to Rainforest cafe, the interior is
designed like a exotic jungle that recreates modality, music, sights of Amazon forest. It is a

fabulous food service context that pry with topical showers, periodic thunderstorms along with
cascading waterfall.
Pop-up service: This type of food service context permits chefs, guests in addition to
owners try new meals, concepts and creation. It could be anything related to beer garden for
sitting down in restaurant in unconventional place that open along in specific duration. It lies
widely on application of social media, for spreading across globe.

It refers to a process that is used with the aim f delivering services to end users. In
context of this, few of approaches are adopted by the selected firm and which are obstinate
below:

create various values that are interrelated with various activities. The management team of
company adopt this mode for delivering the services that adds values. Which meets the demands
and requirement of company (Kim and et. al., 2016). With the help of this, supervisors of chosen
cafe delivers meals that possess a good taste and values. They carries out this for retaining the
consumer base and market shares.
Direct supply chain: In this mode of supply chain, administrators emphasis to collects
needed material from farmers. In relevance to Rainforest cafe, the management team adopted
this approach in order to devised a position by which all aspects of food supply are managed and
controlled. Along with it they always try to deliver high quality food at affordable price to their
consumers.
Key stakeholders for food supply chain process:
Stakeholders are those individual who have interest and power in company and either
impacted or is impacted through working condition of business. Food supply chain is a
procedure that demonstrate all approaches which are linked with the ingredients that starts from
