INTRODUCTION Information processing system determines manner in which calculation are performed by an electronic device. It defines measures in which vast information which has been stored with an electronic device are processed so that outcomes are produced (Ahmadi, Packirisamy and Dargahi, 2012). This assignment takes into consideration working of a healthy eating app which analyses personal data of consumers could be stored. This report describes processing system of an app along with manner through which output are produced. MAIN BODY Description of information processing system used by an App The health and fitness is the latest trend in the market and are evolving at a rapid phase. The population today is more concerned about the status of their health and therefore have opted for health and fitness mobile applications to monitor their health and dietary intakes. The contemporary market is filled with technology such as Wristbands, armbands and chest straps which help in maintaining a healthy lifestyle for the concerned. The hardware which is generally used in this approach are accelerometers, gyroscope, GPS and biometric data to provide suitable results to service user. Information processing system defines manner in which operationsare carried out. It takes input from consumer through numerous and after processing relevant results are produced. Mobile application takes assistance from chip (SOC- system-on-a-chip). It an microchip which consists of various electronic chips and circuits necessary for carry out operations. The processor of host device assures that all necessary system capabilities which are essential for a mobile application to carry out its operations (Brosan, Cooper and Shafran, 2013). The present form of health mobile application are integration of their nutritional and healthcare application. These application assist users in monitoring their nutritional intake along with maintaining ideal level of physical activity. This applications takes assistance from Management information system (MIS). In this system transaction data is taken into consideration for measuring of ideal performance of a service user. This provides with final results relating to nutritional intake and physical activities which hasbeen carried out. The various components people, equipment procedures and data which integrate their activities so that collective results are produced. The information which is provided to application is actively processed through processor of host 1
device i.e. mobile. The data is later stored to memory of device and is produced when requested by a user. (Source:Information processing system,2016) Information about input, processing and output device used by a mobile It is mentioned above that information processing system consists of three major components which helps in delivering vital data to a service user. The crucial aspects of information processing system are discussed below: Input:In mobile devices it is essential to provide manual input at the initial stages for the application to start functioning. There are numerous ways through which information can be provided to a mobile electronic device such as concept keyboard, virtual pens, microphone, Touch screen, Video digitiser etc. Such mentioned modes are available to input information to device. The good feature related to technology is that it is always revolving. The latest input devices which can identify nutritional value of food are scanners and mobile camera. It is able to breakdown of food so that its nutritional value could be identified. The mobile application is easily available on mobile and android platforms and requires phones with mobiles phones with minimum functionality so that such functions could be carried out (Kumar, 2013). The scanner by the name of Tell Spec is able to calculate calories, chemicals, ingredients and allergens available in food. This functionality takes help from spectrometer along with utilising an algorithm to calculate the present ingredient in a food. The devices are known to shoot lasers at the object and devices is being sent to a smartphone. 2 Illustration1:Information processing system

(Source: Tell-spec scanner to count calories, 2016) Processing: An electronic device consists of numerous components which assist in processing information which has been entered in device. The processing takes assistance from microprocessor chip along with operating systems in a device. A chip in mobile processor is of smaller size and operates on lower voltage so that it is able to run cooler. The information which is to be processed is brought in the RAM so that processing takes place in error free manner. The ideal tools of hardware and software is utilised in his full potential so that better results could be availed (Maercker and et. al., 2012). The system is designed to handle interdependent operations so that simultaneous tasks are carried out in the right manner. 3 Illustration2: Tell Spec scanner to count calories
(Source:Mobile Processor- ARM, 2018) The memory in which information is stored consists of two major segment such as RAM and external storage. The RAM in a smartphone determines capabilities of handling a task. The information which is to be manipulated are brought from external storage to RAM for the purpose of processing. The software which are possessed in phones are responsible for handling random access memory in their own manner. OUTPUT:It can be said that mobile phones have developed and there is an continuous addition of new feature to it. The mobile phone in present generation have opted for digital mediums and are capable of producing graphics easily. The output which is been provided to smartphone are much convenient and possess a higher resolution which influences creativity (Salazar, 2012). The major output mediums in mobile phones are are Speakers, Switched outputs, Light, Projectors, Mechanical device, phone screen, printer and many more. 4 Illustration3:Mobile Processor- ARM
REFLECTIVE SUMMARY I have produced this report on healthy eating application built using android platform. The reason being it is one of the most tending areas to gather information about. This application is mainly deployed forfood . In this report I have discussed all the hardware components that have been used while developing application specially Tellspecsensor that act as a scanner for inputs. Also, I have acquired basic knowledge of front-end designing and working of interface. This report has challenged my technical knowledge and also acted as a learning tool for me. I feel obliged and certain about my workings in this project. I believe I have utilised every bit of my knowledge using corrective measure. Using this report one can understand every aspect of this app i.e. entire working criteria, along with its functionality and effectiveness. While working upon project, my primary purpose is achieved which was to enhance my knowledge about latest technology in the field of mobile computing. Further I'll focus upon acquiring depth knowledge in the field of app development i.e. how data is exchanged and computed into valuable output. I hope this report will work as base for my future project. 5

CONCLUSION It can be concluded from the above report that information processing determines manner in which information is conveyed to system for purpose of processing and later formulating results on that basis. The major tools of inputs are screens, scanner and virtual keyboards which is furthertransferred to RAM of mobile phone and later portrayed through speakers, light and screen of handset. 6
