INTRODUCTIONConcept of human resource management relate with the actions of managing workers andtheir actions at workplace. This is a combination of various functions such as performanceevaluation, recruitment, selection, training and development of employees and many more (Songand et. al., 2010). One of the main advantage of this is that help manager in formulate effectiveHR policies which help enterprise in betters satisfy needs and wants of employees. All this helpmanager in increase morale of employees motivate them to perform well. ALDI, a leadinggrocery retailer based in United Kingdom is taken in this report for study. At present thecompany is offering its services in more than 20 countries. Main purpose and function of humanresource management and its benefits to both employers and employees is all included in thisreport. Further, importance of employee relations in a firm and its impact on decision makingprocess with key elemets of employment legislations is all given in this. TASK 1P1 Functions and purpose of human resource managementHuman resource management is one of the essential element of every enterprise as thisrelate with employees working in company. With help of this concept managers can formulatebetter policies and business plans for company. One of the main benefit of this concept is that ithelp company it utilise all its resources at maximum level. Main purpose of HRM is to providesupport to manager to hire right candidate for right job. Skilled employees help enterprise in getcompetitive advantage (Surroca, Tribó and Waddock,2010). One of the main feature of thisconcept is that it give opportunity to manager to evaluate performance of employees andencourage them to contribute more in company's success. With help of this concept manager ofALDI can hire best and capable candidate to perform roles in enterprise. Functions of HRMRecruitment: This is one of the main function of human resource management. Manageris the one who so advertisement about the vacancy in enterprise to attract number ofcapable candidates to fill the same. Concept of HRM guide manager during wholeprocess of recruitment. This help help manager in identifythe gap between current and standard skills of employees. After that, conduct trainingprograms in order to fulfil the identify gap is one of the main function of human resourcemanagement. Compliance: Formulate policies for human resource of company by consider variousrelated with employment is one of the main and important function of HRM. Mainadvantage of this is that it support and guide manager to take legal action for the issueswhich take place in enterprise. All these are the main function of human resource management. It is very essential for managerof ALDI to perform all these in an effective way to achieve maximum outputs.
