INTRODUCTION Self development can be defined as a process that involved development of one’s personality and capabilities. Self development is a key to success and this also enables one to take responsibility. Group presentation is also an activity that requires individual to possess several capabilities and along with individual also gets to know what the capabilities that they possess are and what they are lacking. This assessment involves reflection on the group presentation and analysing what areas require improvement and followed by this action plan will be developed in order to work on the areas and improve the areas. TASK 1 Reflective Statement Group presentation was overall a success for me and the group and there are several things that I learnt in this group presentation. These involved new skills and information and severalotheraspectsthroughpresentationandworkingingroup.Mylearningingroup presentation involved several areas that are not only required for academic success but learning this can also enhance my performance as professional. First and most important things that I learnt through this group presentation were how to work in group or with others. This is because group presentation requires working with many others and this teaches how to divide work among all based on their individual capabilities and how individual in group can be effective in helping others and for the success of the group goal (Lam, 2018). Group goal that we had was successfully completing our presentation. My group presentation involved different people having different skills and I get to learn basics of all these different skill through them. These skills are effective written communication skills, research skills, skill for dividing task, collecting ideas and scrutinise ideas that are useful for group presentation, research skills and identifying relevant information. This group presentation also informed me about the skills and abilities that I lack and also those that I have. Time management skill is the one that I possess and I also realised that I also have conflict management skill that I was unaware of. These are some of the skills that I get to learn while completing the group presentation. There were several elements and factors that I learnt in this were completely new and there were that I was well aware with.
The information that I learnt during the presentation was different sources through which we can collect significant and reliable information regarding different areas. However there are different sources for different area of knowledge and subjects and that I learnt was few of them, but these were completely new information for me. I also learnt advanced use of technology that earlier I did not knew about. Followed by this several things were such that I realised I need to develop and these are not only useful for academic success but is professionally useful too. Concerned with group presentation several activities were interesting and among all these activities one of the most interesting part of group presentation was discussing with group, in this all members of the group presentation were used to share their ideas with each other and this was followed by discussing their ideas and their relevance with the presentation (Khongput, 2020). This was interesting part of the presentation as everyone used to come up with their ideas and discuss ideas with each other. This was also interesting as this was an activity that contributed in increasing knowledge. This also was interesting as all the members of the group were having harmonious relationship. Because of this everyone used to freely express what they have in their mind and others were also able to freely express what they think about particular ideas that have been shared by other members of the group. The new information that I learnt during is very useful for me as this will enhance my research skills. This is important skill for academic success and this enables individual to get information and enhance their knowledge and additional information also enable individual to practically apply the knowledge that they gain in classes and in theoretical way. This is how research skill is useful for both academic as well as for professional success (Everington, 2019). However there were some of the points and elements in relation with group presentation that I was unable to understand completely and some of the elements were there that confused me. These were some of the information that was related with group presentation and was used in group presentation. This group presentation helped me in enhancing knowledge and understands what are the skills that one should possess in order to improve their academic performance. Communication skill is one of the important skills and I learned the importance of communication skill during this group presentation. This means that I knew and believed that my communication skills are good and during this group presentation I realised that even though my oral communication skills are good I need to focus on improving my written communication skill. This means that I need to work in my written communication skill that when I am writing what I need to say I am able to express it effectively that it achieves

Critical thinking enables individuals to identify creative and developing innovative solutions to their problems (Brown, 2019). Other than this I also need to improve my team working skill, concerned with this I believe that they are not completely absent yet they are not as effective as I saw others having. This group presentation also helped me in realising that my technique and communication skill is suitable for conflict resolution and working further on this I will be able to create conflict management as one of the my strengths. TASK 2 Areas that need to be further developed Group presentation and reflection written on that made me realise that there are several skillsand capabilitiesthatI need to improveanddevelop. Theyareimportantfor self development. This means that in order to ensure self-development development of these areas can make an effective and important contribution. Some of the areas that need improvement are- Written communication skill Communication plays an important role in all areas whether it is academic or professional life. Written communication is also important and in relation with academic life this is very important and this is why this area needs to be developed for self development (Riley and Simons,2016).Inthisgrouppresentationobservingothersandcomparingmywritten communication skills with their made me realise that my written communication skill is not as good and effective as it should be and as it can be. Regarding use and requirement of written communication skill in professional life it also requires proficiency in formal communication and formal written communication. Research Skills This is one of the important skill in which individual becomes able to make effective research related to the area in which they are studying or any other area. In present technological time this is an important skill through which one can collect information and enhance their
knowledge regarding the area or any other subject in the context. For example, individual working in international organisation needs to deal with international clients and in such an knowledge about how to deal with them can enhance proficiency and capabilities of individual (Allison and et.al., 2016). This knowledge is possible to gain by research and this requires individual to have knowledge of specific resources that can allow individual to gain their required specificknowledge. Thisalso enable individual to identify problem and collect information regarding it and this is required for students as well. Researching and collecting more information allows them in effective comprehension and this helps students in their academic success. Critical Thinking This is another skill that is important for both in academic as well as in professional success of the individual. In present globalisation has become part of business success and this is why it is important that individuals for their professional success has ability to think critically (Gokhale and Machina, 2018). Critical thinking also enables individuals in identifying and developing creative and innovative solutions for their problem. Research is also a part of critical thinking and this also enables individuals to possess problem solving skill. Conflicts Management Having this skill can be useful for managing individual as well as organisational conflicts for the individual (Adekunle, Abimbola and Ehimen, 2019). Conflict management involves managing and resolving conflicts and this is one of the important skills and can become strength for individual. TASK 3 Action Plan for Self-Develop Development of skills and capabilities effectively requires a plan for their development (Shaheen and Hameed, 2020). The above plan involves skills and their development methods along with what is the purpose and target for developing skills. CONCLUSION On the basis of above tasks and discussion involved in this it can be summarised that group presentation is an effective activity for identifying and understanding strong and weak aspect of individual in academic and as well as in employment. Based on this analysis of group discussion and reflection some of the skills and capabilities were identified that needs to be developed.
