and women as defined by people themselves. Sexuality refers to who an individual is attracted to
as well as the plethora of orientations (Fleischhacker, 2019). Gender are the features of women,
girls, boys and men which are socially constructed. It can also involve the social norms, roles
and behaviors which are associated with being a men, boy, girl or women. Sexuality is all about
the sexual feelings, attractions, behaviors and thoughts which they have towards other people.
The things such as emotionally attractiveness, sexual attractiveness and physical attractiveness
all are a part of a person’s sexuality.
Gender and sexuality have changed a lot from the past. In earlier days, the gender and
sexuality were associated with certain gender and sexuality as well. People were tagged with the
gender they were born with not that they wanted to be or what they feel they were. It suppressed
their feeling and true nature. The gender other than man and women was unacceptable. A certain
gender was favored more than others. Men were considered to be bread makers and women only
to home makers and they were not considered strong. However, things have changed and people
have realized gender and sexuality is all about what people want and feel. The report will aim to

People have to experience the roles and sexuality as determined by society on their everyday
basis. As sexuality and gender plays a significant role in determining the social status which
influence women, families and children on a wide level (Kedley and Spiering, 2018). For
example the intersection of sexuality with major social issues involves women’ and children’s
health. It also involve gender based violence. The everyday experiences of gender and sexuality
involves facing discrimination at workplace as the women are paid less than men. Women are
given less opportunities to be at higher potions as only men are considered to be able to pull
theses jobs only.
Gender and sexuality are the important parts of a human life. However, on everyday
basis, people have to face various human experiences for their sexuality. It is a complex

phenomenon of sexuality which have spiritual, intellectual and emotional dimensions with
involving social, cultural and economic as well as religious contexts. These contexts are things
which limits or prohibits of an individual’s life. The sexuality of a person influences their
cultures, religions and politics etc. a culture’s treatment of sexuality can influence the
individual’s feeling such as safe and unsafe. For example, some cultures strictly prohibits the
homosexuality and implies homophobic.
Sexuality affects the women’s ability to protect herself against diseases, unwanted
pregnancy and violence as well as childbirth etc. Sexuality and gender have been an arena for
contesting power relations and social status. This results in discrimination, violence and abuse on
a gender based on their sexual orientation and their gender (Crawford and Unger, 2019). The
intersection of sexuality with major issues involves a number of social issues such as youth
development, population growth, gender based violence and human rights. For example women
in their everyday life experience more gender based violence as compared to men. They are often
abused as it is assumed that they are weaker than the other gender and thus lacks power.
People have rights such as sexual rights to privacy, body integrity, freedom of expression
and right to anatomy which are fundamental to every human being. However, there is often
violation of these rights which is majorly influenced by culture, race and classes. This suggests
that gender and sexuality have major role in influences in the life of people a lot more than what
is generally accepted. People experience gender and sexuality based issues in their everyday life
such as gender discrimination, gender based violence and aggression etc. (Balogun, 2021).
Social life and social structure experiences have specific working theories with which
new aspects can be analyzed productively, based on specific working scenarios for gaining
functional growth. Theories of social life related with gender and sex, are able to develop
productive competitive diversity for generating untapped functional beliefs within diverse
paradigms. Functionalism theory, feminism theory, Marxism theory and positivism theory are
also some of the most integral social life and social structure theories for improvising rapid
competitive engagement profoundly (Talbot, 2019). Gender and sexuality related issues within
