INTRODUCTION
Gender stereotype refers to the generalized view or perception which is related with
characteristics or attributes. There is the some of the perception which are generalized in the
society which are not correct and is based on the specific gender. This is harmful when it is
related with specific gender to develop capabilities, making choices and professional careers
about their lives. There is discrimination with women on the basis of their gender which is not
right and need to be improved. There is also need to finish such type of stereotyping with the
scientific facts which can have the base to improve and implement effectively. There is
discussion about the argument of feminist about the gender stereotype and medicalisation that
can have negative impact on the women health and coming historically. In this essay, there is
discussion about the various stereotype related with gender and gender medicalisation which
have the negative impact on the women's health (Fadzal, 2018).
MAIN BODY
There are many argument of the feminist which is related with the gender stereotyping
which is related with the gender. There are some of the example which are can help to
understand that there many type of stereotype which are among between us and people are
unaware of those stereotypes. For example- In society there is an stereotype that girls should
palay with the doll whereas, boys should be play with trucks or any superhero. There is also an
stereotype that boys should wear blue cloths whereas girls should wear pink. This is the
stereotype which is there in the society and people are not conscious about these such stereotype.
There are many stereotype that lead to create the inequality within gender and is related with
gender. It is said that there are many of the people who says that girls should look good and thin
which is there to make them appealing to men whereas, boys should be tough and use their
violence and aggression to show their manliness. Such type of stereotyping are there in the
society which can lead to create the impact on the women health (Kearns, 2017).
There are various factors which are there impacting the health which can impact the
health of the women and is associated with lifestyle and development. Due to discrimination and
gender stereotype there is inequality in medicalisation. This can impact receiving of effective
healthcare treatment and services which are there able to get better treatment. Due to having
stereotype like women are to make food in the house and taking care of children and other family
