INTRODUCTION
Children are individuals who have their own set of
perceptions, attitude, meanings and ideas about the world
and the social surroundings which should be respected.
It is important to understand the health, cognitive,
behavioural, mental health and social, emotional needs of
the children so that the care process is more effective and
in every stage, the care workers should maintain a
professionalism.
At George Hull center for children and families, the same
requirements are met effectively.

PRACTICUM SETTINGS
The practicum settings provides the opportunities for family therapy, teaching. It
also provides intensive experience on communication, collaboration and
relationship building. More importantly, the settings provide great opportunities
to learn about the mental health and care practice in relation to the children and
youth. As interns, it is a great place to learn about the critical thinking, caring,
problem solving the decision making skills. Teaching and caring the child, youth
and his parents with compassion and empathy is the main philosophy of work,
here at the George and Hull centre.
