Using Gibbs Reflective Cycle for Reflective Learning

Reflective learning forms out a vital part of
creating and generating improved
understanding and knowledge level based on
review and analysis of own experience. Gibbs
reflective model tend to support an effective
and systematic process which tend to be
cyclical models of reflection leading through
six stages exploring an experience:
description, feelings, evaluation, analysis,
conclusion and action plan. Use of Gibbs
Reflective Cycle encourages people to think
systematically about the experiences they had
during a specific situation, event or activity.
Using a circle, reflection on those experiences
can be structured in phases.
Based on the own learning based on the
current module following SWOT
analysis is conducted and made:
Reflective exercise
Based on above SWOT analysis I had set
following SMART objective:
To develop effective leadership
skill in next 6 months.
To improve my time
management skill by upcoming 9
months.
To have improvement in my
communication skill I would make use of
online classes to have better
understanding and learning about
effective leadership skill. Along with
this, I would make use of time table
along with other effective time
management skill such as Gantt chart to
ensure and have better management of
time.

increasing number of
candidates in
management sector
is biggest threat
