REPORT4 Discussion Week 1: Activity 1: 1.Friedman has rightly stated that the world in flat shape is always considered as a place where people will not face any type of barriers as well as one can comfortably function or can interact with fairly comfortable associations also. Here, there are important challenges associated with risk related to globalization. The theory of Friedman focus on handling the overhang features where the globalisation is mainly characterised under the threats and opportunities which flow from who you are connected to and they are then symbolised by the single word (Abadi et al., 2016). The globalisation, according to him, is the technology, interweaving of the markets, and the information system that enable the people to reach to the different parts at a faster pace. Example: I was a part of MNC which was at that time planning to move manufacturing operations to countries like China or Bangladesh in order to decrease the overall cost and increase the revenue (Lasserre, 2017). The important thing to note here is that moving the whole operation to a new country will require hiring a new team with new ideas and experiences. It is important here to understand the importance of no boundaries formula since people can have more freedom on a basic level to work efficiently. The main focus of the company was always on the details including the process to motivate the employees to work in discipline manner and dedicatedly. 2.The rules and principle stated by Friedman are right since it throws some light on the possibilities of things that can be performed by an individual only. The appraisal and promotion practice in any organization helps in bringing motivation in the employees and make them work harder to accomplish set goals (Binder, 2016). The organization

REPORT5 requires outcome-based action with the attention on dealing the sales of products and market expansion (Lawal et al., 2014). The company has always followed a people- based strategy where employees are the priority. Example: there are many functions these days which are part of the freelance job. As a software and code developer, I can work on my own since it is easier to understand the work and handle multiple tasks. This principle is based on showing the respect to the employees by giving them credits for success. This further helped in providing due credits to people who meet the standards or the target set by the employees. The functions as a part of globalization can be different and depend on the elements of trading, investment and flow of labour and many more. Week 2: Activity 2: 1.Pr. Ghemawat states that there is still a long way to go for the world to become completely globalized. There are so many versions and differences based on the ways of how people can immigrate and work in the international market (Binder, 2016). Example: the best way for me to grow and move forward is learning different techniques and this helps me to deal with change comfortably. I also aim to provide the best service to customers and contribute to improving the brand value of the company (Ghemawat, 2015). The company mostly depending on the culture actually enjoys the fundamental along with the market strategy that specific values as well. The competitive edge helps the company to operate for the diversified market in the industry for almost fifteen years. There is also a string to build goodwill in the market and thus, the value structure of the company is based on their loyalty towards the consumers (Harris, 2015).
REPORT6 2.The important thing to understand here is that the basic fear among people towards working in a completely new culture and adjust with the globalization (Ghemawat & Vantrappen, 2015). The main focus here is on the people who migrate and the way they handle the transition while moving to the new culture. There is always a fear of the identity loss and losing the job as well as the market (Pawlowski and Bick, 2015). Example: while working in an MNC, when the company send me to the new location overseas, there was a constant fear to cope with the transition and losing the job and there was the struggle to adapt the culture efficiently. The company has always been very aggressive in terms of quality management but need to pay some attention to evaluating as well as believing about providing the product at the effective price which is competitive enough (Sato and Parry, 2015). The company focussed on providing best quality products which are a competitive advantage. The important thing here to understand is that teamwork is crucial for the right kind of management of the organization which assisted the company to promote the efficient workers at different stages. Conclusion The competitive level strategy is associated with the standards based on complexed management with a hierarchy which lack some proper recognition towards policies like an open door and many other (Pawlowski and Bick, 2015). The standards of marketing are related to the managerial personnel with attention on the motivating innovation.
