INTRODUCTION Global tourism destinations are the places which are visited by tourists from different locations. Now a days most of the individuals are focusing on global tourism in which they are willing to travel in various new locations around the world. All the destinations that are famous all around the world attract them and provide higher level of satisfaction(Boniface, Cooper and Cooper, 2016). The organisation which is selected for this project is Brightsun travel which is one of the main tours and travel planner companies all around the world. It was established in year 1986 and its headquarter is in United Kingdom. This report covers various topics such as examination of scale and nature of global tourism, assessment of growth and characteristics of key emerging markets and destination regions and role of key organisations in the development of global tourism. Apart from this, the assignment also focuses on threats, issues and challenges to the future development of global tourism. TASK 1 P1 Interpretation of statistics to accurately present an overview of the nature and trends of tourism on a global scale Global tourism refers to the travelling activities of individuals who prefer to travel all around the world to visit different famous places. Now a days companies such asBrightsun travel are focusing on the development and adopting the latest trends which are related to travel and tourism industry(Brondoni, 2016). It shows that till 2020 the number of tourists in Europe and America will be around 1000 million and in Asia, Africa and Middle east it will be around 1600 million. According to the chart tourism is continuously increasing since year 1950 to current year and will also get developed in upcoming years (Increment in tourism,2019). There are various tourism trends which are required to be focused by all the companies which are operating business in tour and travel sector. All of them are listed below: Emergence of solo trip:Now a days one of the common trend which is followed by the travellers all around the world is solo travelling. Most of the people are willing to travel alone as they wast to experience the beauty of various locations all around the world (Veiga and et. al., 2017). In order to attain development it is very important for Brightsun travel to focus on this trend and launch solo trip packages to the tourists. Currently the percentage of individuals who are travelling alone in UK is around 15%. 2
Increased use of digital techniques:The world is following the conceit of digitalisation for which different new and innovative techniques are used by companies such as Brightsun travel. The below chart shows the development of this trend. It shows that most of the customers are booking their travel packages with the help of mobile web 41% of them are using applications and only 11% are using desktop. It means most of the clients are using mobile web so it should be taken in to account by Brightsun travel (Use of mobile in tourism industry,2019). There are many destinations which are famous for different reasons such as their natural beauty, environment, culture, etc. When individuals plans to visit destination, then all the factors are discussed(Camillo, 2015). Some destinations which are getting proper income from tourism business are London, China, Japan, Italy, Germany, New York, Cambodia, Egypt, etc. through which there is growth in tourism destination. As per change in working style of consumers. There are different reasons due to which people prefers to get at such places. Some of the reasons are as under- Infrastructure:This is the one of the most important feature due to which people are ready to visit places because of their infrastructure. There are some places which are extremely beautiful due to which people gets attracted towards it and become popular destination in travel and tourism sector. For instance: Egypt is the place which is famous for Giza pyramid which is longest and largest pyramid in world(Wu, 2016). This is the reason people prefers to visit this place. There are different tomb which gives beautiful sights and considering it people once forgot about hot climate as well.With tourist business at Giza, there is improvement in economic development as well, so its infrastructure can be developed properly and in effective manner. This provides employment opportunities to local people as well through which economic development of country is possible. Natural beauty:Natural beauty is also another features due to which people are ready to visit different places and this makes it best destination under natural beauty. If tourist wants to prefer natural beauty, then specific destination will be famous for natural sights. Bora Bora is the island at French which is one of the most beautiful destination and it is famous for its water sports activities, beaches, etc. Similarly, British Virgin Islands in Britain is one of the most beautiful destination because it is famous forThe Baths, Rhone Marine Park (Salt Island) , Fallen Jerusalem National Park, etc. which makes these destination famous for natural places (Best Places In The World To Visit,2019).British Virgin Islands, Fallen Jerusalem National Park are destinations which are specific and relevant for their beauties and people prefers these geographical regions. TASK 2 P3 Specific reasons for growth of key global tourism generating and receiving areas There are different destinations which are best in list of tourist destination because of their heritage, culture, natural beauty, peace and security, etc. When there is discussion about different destinations in generating revenue, then there are some other benefits as well which are provided to country as well through employment generation, GDP rate, etc. There are different reasons due to which there is increment in growth of tourism sector in different parts of world. Some reasons of growth are discussed as under- Proper environmental conditions- Environment is one of the most important factor which is considered by tourists when they visit at different places. In case at some destinations, if climate is changing frequently, then this affects tourism business as well because people have fearregardingclimaticchanges.Forinstance:atAustralia,thereiscoolandpleasant environment where people feel satisfied and wants to visit at different places such asGreen Island,Heart Reef,Hayman Island, etc.This increases income from other countries and people are ready to visit this place. Leisure and adventure- There are some cities which are specific for activities which is relevant for leisure and adventure. For instance: if tourists wants to avail leisure life, then Bali is one of the best destination in context of lavish and leisure life. This place is also famous for scuba diving, Ulu Watu, Tanah Lot, etc. where most appropriate services are available. If tourist wants to focus on lavish and adventure trips, then their answer is Maldives. This destination is famous for Male, Banana Reef, diving, etc. which makes individual adventurous. Hence this is the reason due to which there is growth and development in tourism business and people prefers to visit these destinations. Culture and social events- There are some places which are best and known for their cultural and religious activities. For instance: people wants to wants to get to know about culture and different social events then best destination is Cost Rica which is situated at Central America because there are many social events which organisation there. Apart from this Mumbai, India is the place where many social events are organising so people are aware about different vents which might arise. If at destination, many social events are organised, then it is reason for its growth and development in context of tourism. So there are some reasons such as culture and social events, feel leisure, enjoying climate, etc. due to which individuals are ready to visit place again and again and improve mage in tourism sector. But these factors also have different as per perception and mindset of individual(Glaesser and et. al., 2017). With the help of 4 A's of tourism sector, it is easy to judge whether people will spend time over their or not. These 4 A are- attraction, accessibility, accommodation, amenities. With understanding and determining these factors, it will be easy for people to understand about local organisations, transport and infrastructure, sites and architecture and entertainment factors. As there is selection of two destinations selected i.e. Mumbai in India and Egypt. 6

There are many sources of transportation through which people can access other places and reach there. Mumbai is the destination for many international flights. There are many organisation which are providing services for slum people and other special occasions. While in context of Egypt, there are many destinations such as Nile river which people prefers to visit. There is knowledge about cultural values of this country. There are many local organisations and bushinesses which are working for providing information about trading of unique things, etc. there is proper infrastructure and transport facilities with which people can determine changes properly. There is lack of proper amenities, entrainment through which people can entertain themselves. P4 Comparison and contrasting of different emerging destinations of tourism sector on the basis of stages of the destination, factors driving growth and employed strategies There are different destinations which are preferred by tourists as per their demand. As there are many people visiting different places, so it is important for tourism organisations to understand about it. TASK 3 P5 Role and responsibilities of international organisations in development of tourism at global level There are many organisations which are working in order to improve condition of tourism sector and provide better services to visitors. Tourism sector is better and relevant for people because this is the way through which country will get income and improve economic and social development(Milano, Cheer and Novelli, 2018). There are many organisations which are working in order to develop tourism sector such as Thomas Cook, TUI, European Travel Commission, etc. who make strategies through which tourism practices are more safe and secure for tourist when they visit different place. Some roles and responsibilities are as under- Reduction in barrier while travelling- There are many travel barriers which is faced by individuals while the are travelling from one place to another this is because of legal purpose and with consideration of safety prospects. So there must be less barriers which has to be considered for travel because this gives them more pressure and some times, they does not want to visit such places. There is requirement of understanding about benefits which country will get and make proper changes according to it. There are many changes which are taking place in culture of countries, so sometimes, tourist face problem in order to understand them, so it is responsibilities of tourism and international organisations to communicate with people. TASK 4 P6 Importance of various threats, challenges and issues for future development of tourism business There are some threats and challenges which is faced by tourist when they travel from one destination to other such as less knowledge about legal leas, culture, etc. This might be work as threat and challenges for people when they visit different places(Sardak, 2016). If challenges are not accessed properly, then there are possibilities that tourist does not want to visit and there is down fall in tourism business. Some roles and responsibilities are discussed as under- Safety prospects- There are different people from different destinations and they face problem related to safety and security such as theft, robbery, etc. when they visit local places and destinations. There is requirement of complete and specific information to local people so they do not mis behave with tourist. In case of any mis- behaviour, then strict punishment have to be taken. Sometimes there is fear of improper transport facilities and lack of proper infrastructure, 11
hence in this case it is responsibility of international tourism organisation to understand about peak time of tourist and plan for proper transportation for them. Terrorist attack- There is requirement of proper protection to tourist in case of terrorist attack. This is the activity which is most worst activity which affects image of tourist destination in front of guest of country. In case of any such activity or act, it is responsibility of international tourism organisation to take care about safety and security of foreigners and take them at safe and secure place. This provides them satisfaction and image of destination will remain positive in industry. They are required to provide proper accommodation and transport facilities and when there is safe environment get back them to their native places(Smith and Ong, 2015). CONCLUSION The above project report concludes that global tourism is enhancing massively which is resulting in increment in the number of international tourists to different destinations. Due to this, travellers all around the world have been increased as compare to past years. There are various characteristics of the tourist places that attracts visitors. These are their infrastructure, natural beauty, their beautiful view, introduction to the heritage etc. In order to analyse different phases of destination different stages could be analysed. These are exploration, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation and decline. There are various roles and responsibilities such as reducing barriers to tourism, attracting clients with the help of tourism packages etc. of key international organisations which are required to be fulfilled by them to develop global tourism. 12
